She might be used more if she stopped going on breaks every half hour.

Me neither. Bang average actress playing a messy, inconsistent and sensationalist character.

She's a liability. She must have a clause written into her contract.

I have found her acting very poor over the last 18 months. Although Sam has done other work while being on a break, i felt she has totally forgot how to play Ronnie.

Yep that's what I think too. Sam Womack is phoning in her performances and she doesn't seem to be fully committed to the show.

I think my problem with Veronica is that she has become predictable and boring. I've never found her a particularly believable or authentic character but she used to entertain me. I think Samantha Womack might realise herself that Ronnie has had her day.

She's underused because she's off doing something else every 5 minutes, she's been back 2 years yet only seems to appear for a couple of months a time, makes it hard for the writers I imagine and normally means the viewers lose interest and stop caring, patsy palmer was similar

The character of Ronnie has well and truly run her course. No offence to Sam Womack (I've seen her in other things and she was great) but I have never much liked her in EastEnders. Since her 2013 return not only has the character has become a complete mess, but the actress is clearly not interested in being there. All Ronnie gets is tragedy after tragedy, it's no wonder Sam leaves every six months.

I think you are right. Ronnie like most of Mitchell clan have had their day. Sam is likely bored but ÉE gives her a guaranteed pay cheque. You can't blame her at that basic level. I can see why she doesn't want to tie herself to the character destroyed by sensationalism. Lindsey Coulson has been phoning in and again bored I suspect. Great she got to show how talented she is last night. As ever gritty realism not sensational rubbish.

There is only so much they can give her if she is on so many breaks. She must be on her mount pleasant break now as she isn't in cast lists for next episodes and hasn't been in it for couple of weeks either

Agreed, find the actress incredibly wooden and even more so since she's had some facial treatments done and cant move a muscle on her face, never liked the character either

She's not a good actress really, saw her on that kings man film as the mother of a boy and she was pretty awful, especially on comparison with the other actors on there. Very panto.

I think Sam Womack is very pretty but I don't think she needs facial treatments. She looks lovely without them but she always uses botox/facial treatments.

I think her acting has been terrible for the last 18 months. I also find her commitment to the show troubling. If i was an EP, she would of been gone ages ago. She had two years away from the show, came back but still demanded time off to other projects. No way. That shouldn't be how it works. It's different if she was doing a small project like when Jessie Wallace had a month off to do a musical last year because Jessie's temporary departure did not affect her character's storyline or lead to storylines being put on the backburner.

Eastenders are always letting their actors come and go as they please. They are too soft.

If you can't handle the long term role and loads of hours that come with it, don't do television. It's simple.

The character was never the same after the baby swap. I thought when she first returned they might bring her back to the character she was when the sisters first arrived but then the whole Carl thing happened which really ruined her for me.

I've been thinking this.
Ronnie should leave and make guest appearances until sam feels able to commit

I really hope that when Ronnie is back, she won't have any more breaks until 2016. So tired of Ronnie leaving all the time and Samantha Womack is not being fair to the producers/writers.

Spot on. The trouble with DTC is he has his favourite storylines and his favourite characters and he will continue to use and do both, regardless of any detriment.

Maybe it doesn't work having Ronnie and Sharon at the same time, in the same family. As much as I like Ronnie if it's a choice between the two I'd take Sharon every time.

Samantha Womack's lack of commitment isn't helpful to the character either, I'm not sure why they are letting her treat the show as her back up plan.

No one can say Samantha Womack is a wooden actor...

Her acting may not be as good as it was in her first stint, but the whole
show isn't as good as it used to be, not just her acting.
