He was probably the best in Brookie as he covered every type of emotion and also he was a great actor who should have had more parts when Brookie ended What do you guys think do you think he was one of the great soap character

Weirdly Dean Sullivan was in my dream last night.

Jimmy was a fab character and as the years went in he seemed to just keep developing. I remember his mental health storyline being really well done.

Such a shame Dean is hardly seen on TV these days. I always wished Hollyoaks had cast him as Mr C's long lost brother, he would have been a great addition. Plus the Cunningham family needs rebuilding.

Excellent idea! TPTB should have run with that idea while they had the chance! Waste of a great actor.

Is it to do with the fact that he stuck by BRookside until the very end and is fighting to bring it back?

I only remenber him when he turned ill and then the siege and the end and him jumping off the school building. Not even sure how he survived?

the actor was on STV last week. it was a programme called Insane Fight Club. It's a fly on the wall show about a professional wrestling team from Glasgow. They were staging shows in various English cities, and got Dean to do some promotion and appear at their Liverpool gig

I hated the character. All doom and gloom.
I preferred Harry Cross. He was the same but could be funny at times.

I liked Jimmy but I hated all that stuff about him becoming a teacher, having falsified a degree. Of course he turned out to be inspirational but it was all very 'Dead Poets' Society.'

Both Jimmy and Barry were soap legends! As were Mick, Sinbad, Max Farnham etc. Easily some of the best characters ever to grace our screens. Each of them had so much depth, which was great considering Brookie was only 3 times a week!

Not so sure about Max Farnham, but I certainly agree on all those other characters you have named. I also think Jimmy Corkhill was miles funnier than Harry Cross.

Yes. Was also strange how he wasn't prosecuted for it.

They could've had him train in youth work etc, which would have been plausible, rather than go down the training as a teacher route.
