With the recent spoiler pictures about the upcoming car crash, and this being Hollyoaks, it's inevitable that someone will probably die. After seeing that Jazz Franks (Esther) is going on holiday now and with Daisy Wood-Davis (Kim) posting a picture of Jazz and her filming this week with Jazz covered in blood, I'm starting to think Esther will get killed off. The show probably doesn't want to deal with the aftermath of Esther giving birth and they probably think that it's easier for Grace and Trevor to keep the baby if Esther were to die. I doubt they'd kill off Kim since she's a suspect in the Gloved Hand Killer story.

As much as I love Esther I've felt shes been on rocky ground for quite some time...

To be fair it's been a while since a car crash. But yeah. Death is treated like a joke now.

Shame it won't be that idiot Kim. Hate her character and the way Grace is being dragged down, randomly having a fling with her.

I've felt like this for a while too unfortunately. It's just a shame she *could* be killed, if she was leaving couldn't the writers have given her a happy exit after everything she has been through?

Esther is one of the few likeable characters that is well acted, has some morals and is more of an ordinary every day type of character so yeah I expect Kirkwood will kill her off
I suppose it could be Dylan considering we know he is leaving.

When were the Lomax's killed? Less than a year ago surely?

The way the rest of them are you would think it had never happened.

There hasn't been a death in HO for quite a while, there is the gloved hand killer, but that is caused by someone, rather than being killed in an accident.

If you want to see a show that treated death like a joke, then look up Dream Team, which had a worse death rate than Hollyoaks ever has.

Both Esther and Phoebe were/are never really bothered with for over a year, and I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did. Esther's one of my favourites, but I feel like those in charge don't care for her anymore.

If they kill off Esther, I'm done with the show for good. Phoebe was bad enough.

I think it's an easy option to kill off Esther than actually doing their job and writing stories for her; Esther is obviously a difficult character to write for, b/c she's nice, ordinary and moralistic, instead of the usual scheming, lying, murdering, kidnapping, manipulative, psychotic, sex-mad, bitchy characters that everyone else is at one time or another.

I wouldn't be surprised if Esther dies.. Someone must and as Kim is a GHK suspect and possible the killer, I don't think it will be her.

I used to like Esther until she started to use Grace and Trevor's baby to try and control them! I really hope that Esther isn't chasing after them to try and get the baby back, because I would hate to still be hating her character when she dies.

The way Hollyoaks is going I wouldnt be surprised if Esther shacks up with Ste any day soon.

Yeah, with pictures of Esther in the crash appearing, I'm not so sure it will be her - they've already ruined the element of "shock." I can see it being Dylan. If there's a crash where Dylan is killed and Esther seriously injured, she might decide she wants the baby back, leaving Trevor high and dry as the baby is now his only child

Of course they'll kill her off; she's one of the few remaining decent consistent characters; no use to BK!

I had a feeling that she would die as soon as this storyline started.

There's been so many pointless deaths BK won't stop killing characters off, killing Phoebe was silly. If Esther gets killed off I Jazmine Franks gets a better show who will treat her with respect.

Hmm... Sam on Tumblr feels there is just as much chance of them getting rid of Kim as the actress is coming to the end of her 12 month contract and they might be starting to eliminate suspects of the GHK.

If this was the HO of old we would have the spotlight on Esther and the baby and would be worried about them dying and then it would be another character on the side who would croak like Jono did in enjoy the ride. Though nowadays, who knows?

Always loved Esther, but since the bullying/suicide storyline she has been underused and given some rubbish storylines. The main thing that grated with me was her sudden great friendship with Sinead; the girl who bullied her to the extent that she tried to kill herself, nearly died anyway because she needed a transplant and is now on meds for life. Still, in Hollyoaks land you can happily put that aside and be best friends with the person who caused it all. Esther must be a saint or stupid to be able to be friends with Sinead after all that.

I like her friendship with Grace, but again it came from ridiculous storylines, the whole nicking money from Grace thing, the hospital seige and now the surrogacy.

Esther has been so underused. Even after giving her a coffee shop and a surrogate storyline, it still feels like she's hardly ever used.
