You can put seasonal fresh fruit cut in small pieces in, apples, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc. Makes it taste very fresh.

I tend to put a handful of blueberries in first (or quartered strawberries), pop the yoghurt in, then add sultanas, walnut pieces, sunflower seeds and then a handful of oats. Yum!

I've been using the Alpro fruit yoghurts but would like to move a plain yoghurt - less sugar! Can anyone recommend a plain, dairy-free yoghurt?

Variation on the theme......

last night I tried something different........I melted 2 desert spoons of chocolate spread in a pan (the Nutella kind though this was Sainsbury own brand) and then mixed in 6 desert spoons of nutty muesli with an extra couple of spoons of oats

put it in a bowl and in the fridge to cool.........ate it for 'pudding'

lovely !

As for fattening depends what you have, granola tends to be more fattening than muesli because of the extra sugar. Again if you have a fruit yoghurt it will have more sugar than a natural yoghurt. But really it's probably no more fattening than any other cereal as they tend to be packed with sugar as well.”

Thank you. As for what triggers it, God knows...There doesn't seem to be a pattern at all.

Anyway that would be another thread!

I used to eat this years ago, also bran with yoghurt too, but I'm very much into porridge now.

Greek yoghurt over fresh sliced fruit is delicious, I have it most days for lunch.
