I don't get the decision of offering the Banker's Gamble when the mean was only £500 above what he dealt at.
If you accept it it's like declining an offer that is 95% of the mean and you'd be crazy to do that!

I totally agree with you. I'd have gambled because the gap between £1,000 and £20,000 wasn't too big.
