FOR CRYING OUT LOUD (no pun intended!), knock it off with all the pointless filler! I did NOT want to hear that impression of a baby!

At eleven boxes she was talking about how she wanted the confetti and would happily help clear it up afterwards.
Then she dealt for less than half the average. If you deal at less than half the average early in the game with the £250K still there, you really have to lose it in the next round for your deal to have any chance of working out. If you don't,the offer will probably go up,or maybe stay about the same if you lose other decent reds. But it will only drop significantly if the £250K goes. Even then it might not be a disaster if there's still other decent reds left, and there were still plenty left when she dealt. A very cautious deal,to say the least. |

None of these idiots would make good poker players! Her play was like folding AA before the bubble in the Sunday million because you don't want to go home with nothing, when to win the Sunday Million you have to take risks.

But other than these special circumstances, folding aces before the flop at any time, in cash games or tournaments,is probably wrong. In a tournament,in order to stay alive, you have to be prepared to die. |

OK - box game rules
One week choose your own box number (please check numbers already chosen - it makes my life easier ). Number to be chosen between end of Friday's game and before start of Monday's game. (I usually post the list around 3.30 p.m. on the Monday). If there are players who haven't chosen a number, I allocate them a box. The following week, richie4eva puts the players' names into a "randomiser" and you get the box randomly allocated to you. (Richie usually posts the list Sunday or pre 4 p.m. Monday). The only other rule is not to have the same box number for 2 consecutive weeks. As the next game is a pick your own you have between now and whenever DOND is back to choose a number (3, 4, 8, 9 and 22 have already gone !) |

This is true, but folding aces on the bubble may be the correct play in a satellite which is giving away seats to a bigger event. Say there are nine players left and eight seats to be won. The player who finishes ninth gets nothing. If somebody goes all in ahead of you and it will cost you all your chips to call, you should probably fold aces. If somebody goes all in and gets called by another player,it would be insane to call. You would be risking your chips for almost no gain.
But other than these special circumstances, folding aces before the flop at any time, in cash games or tournaments,is probably wrong. In a tournament,in order to stay alive, you have to be prepared to die. |

Thanks! One final question- how are the scores calculated? Is it the box with the most amount of money in it over the course of a week?
) Unfortunately none of us actually get any money ![]()

You're not much of a fan of horse racing, are you,GCT?
![]() Horse racing was around for a long time before Deal or No Deal. And it will still be around long after Deal or No Deal has gone from our screens. ![]() At least, unlike Deal or No Deal, 15 to 1 demands some level of intelligence to play or to follow.
