Silas is by far my favourite of all time
I loved Brendan too but I don't like him to be defined as purely a villain, because while he started out way I think everyone grew to love Brendan because beneath his tough exterior he had love, emotion, feelings and a vulnerable side due to his troubled upbringing it just took time for us to understand why he was the way he was I loved Janine too but while she was a total bitch she really wasn't an evil villain either |

Yusef and Jez I agree with - if you're looking at Hollyoaks what about someone like Rob Hawthorne or Andy Holt? Also surely Brookie's Barry Grant has to be up there somewhere along with Kim Tate from Emmerdale I think.

Archie Mitchell - just a brilliant hate figure, he was fantastic during his short run
Trevor Morgan - a menacing presence and so believable Stella Crawford - eerily good, this posh professional morphing into a dark character Dr May Wright - perhaps the best ever unhinged EE villain |

Home and Aways's Amanda Vale was bloody brilliant, her and Josh West made an awesome team trying to wreck Summer Bay with project 56, also trying to destroy the Hunter family almost conning Beth's elderly dad and sleeping with Kit. I am glad she they turned her good in the end though, putting her with Peter was pure genius and those scenes with Belle when she was dying were heartbreaking. I would love to see her back in the Bay one day.

It's only a couple of months since we had this thread, think I might even have started it, but
1) Tony Gordon 2) Jez Quigley 3) Alan Bradley 4) Charlie Stubbs ( though he was more of a thoroughly nasty piece of work than a real vilain!!) |

Angie Russell was also a classic H&A villain with so many layers. Sarah Lewis is another favourite. She was terrifying during the siege. |

Amanda was amazing. Marrying Beth's dad was jaw dropping.

Clare Devine has to be the ultimate soap bitch!!
I know the rest of her family are 'new' to soap world but Fraser Black, Grace Black and Trevor Royal have to also be up there! Mercedes McQueen is also a brilliant contender as well as Patrick and Sienna Blake! Whatever happened to Ronnie Mitchell becoming a villain? The way DTC talked about it, it sounded like a brilliant SL! But it was dropped for Charlie/Nick stuff that had the most ridiculous anti climax! |

David Platt is great because his reasoning is always understandable and it's not just 'I'M GOING TO ATTEMPT TO MURDER THIS PERSON BWA HA HA HA HA' (although he does do a great evil glare).

Trevor Morgan
Richard Hillman - Norman Bates with a briefcase Alan Bradley Trevor Jordache Nick Cotton - he did get a bit panto at the end, but in the 80s-90s he was bad Robert Robinson - Paul's son in Neighbours who bombed the plane while pretending to be his twin Maya Sharma - still can't believe how far she went over Sunita "stealing" Dev - of all people - from her. Kim Tate Graham on Emmerdale - the one who manipulated Rachel into looking like his dead wife before pushing her off a cliff |

Sarah, Zoe, Amanda and Josh West were all brilliant in Home and Away. Poor Peter had to deal with all of it.
