You know the answer away and spy on Lauren and you won't have to watch it

I like her she's funny but I do remember breathing a sigh of relief the last time she left, she's lovely but in small doses so definetly no to being a regular.

Elaine would be a quality addition.

We have been told snippets of Linda and Elaine's backstory, with Elaine cheating on her husband and Linda's guilt over her fathers death.”

You forgot Elaine's brother who had a bad stroke of sunburn, Chris Peacock.

So, you're in the 'undecided' camp then?

OMG! I don't really mind Elaine but she did make me cringe when she kissed Mick on the lips and when he slapped her bum??!! Loooool that is just sooooo bizarre and such weird behaviour. Each to their own but I just can't imagine what that would be like in my own family. The consequences are too funny to think about!! Haha..Anyway, even all this I could put up with but please, please, please, please, please.......DONT LET HER SING!!!! That was truly face-burying-in-cushion and CRINGE TV when she did it last time in the Vic. I'm even covering my face whilst typing this! Lol

I loved Elaine's very first appearance. I remember the reaction to her after the episode aired on here and on twitter. She was a delight. But when she came back for more, I kinda grew to dislike her. She kinda went into Peggy Mitchell territory. Going around shouting the odds and trying to take full control over the family situation. I was waiting for her to shout the classic line "it's all about faaaaaammmmmilllllliyyyyyyy. Thankfully she didn't, but she was half way there.

Me too - I like Elaine.

Hopefully she will help the younger Carters to get through tough times, and protect Linda from the likes of Shirley, Dean and Babe. I think that Buster has Dean's ticket marked now so he won't be a threat to Linda.

Is Elaine back as a regular?

Provided she doesn't cringeworthily sing, I think she'll be agreat addition to the square, definitely the Vic where the Carter quartet is getting boring. The family need a fresh injection and Elaine can bring this

If Annette Badland ends up leaving as Babe then Elaine may well end up being a regular as DTC may want another older character in the Carter Family to replace Stan & Babe.

I didn't know that Elaine was to become a regular, Babe should be back soon as she was filming on June 9 with Danny, Linda, Louisa et al

DTC has clearly latched on to the fact that NO ONE likes her singing as so what does he do??? Of course, makes her threaten to sing in every other sentence!!!

Talk about overkill.

She's far, far too over the top! I wonder who's idea it was that Mick and Elaine should kiss and grope? I bet it was Danny Dyer's. He probably fancies her in real life. It's nauseating. If one of my boyfriends did that to my Mum she would not be amused, far from it. She'd probably order him out of the house. That time Elaine was singing like she was on a West End stage was utterly cringeworthy. I found it hard to watch. I don't want her to be regular. To be honest I've missed a few episodes recently so if she's left or leaving I apologise but if she hasn't I hope she doesn't stick around for too long.

I much prefer Bonnie Langford's character of Carmel to be honest.

Elaine is too showbizzy for me.

I wouldn't describe Elaine as an "old woman". She's what I would call middle aged. She's still an attractive woman too. Dot's an old woman.

People like Elaine do exist, women who are loud, pushy and bolshy. You see them in places like backstreet hairdressers. I don't mind her but I much prefer Carmel.
