EE - Carter dominance....now in a good way?
I see the Carters as being those in the Vic, so we're now seeing and going to be seeing the start of strong storylines with Nancy and Lee. I can only assume that Nancy's storyline will continue and we know that Lee's massive storyline will be starting this week.
So, is this a good change for the Carters? Is it going to be a good thing that Lee and Nancy appear on screen a lot and not necessarily Mick and Linda? |

Personally I love the Carters but appreciate that they were dominating, but they have had a break, and with the reintroduction of Kathy and all the big Beale storylines coming up I do think the amount of time on screen will reduce, but as landlords of the Vic they will always be featured in a lot of episodes even if not with huge stories all the time, so people will have to get used to that.

I'm happy that they are going to focus on Lee and Nancy. They have been in a lot of episodes but they haven't had their own storylines. It's about time, that it happened.

I think too much is too iritating. I get fed up of seeing Mick lording it all over the place. Linda's face always looks like a slapped arse (but can't help look at her and think of her as that brat in Tbag)
Lee and Nancy? Jury's still out for me. |

I hope so I want to like the carters. I hope this storyline with Lee is going to be interesting.
I'm saying no, no, no! ![]() But seriously to answer the question I think it's not healthy for any family or character to dominate. I had the same issue with Stacey in 2006 onwards. |

I love the Carters and it's nice to see focus on Lee and Nancy also as Mick and Linda, also going a different direction to the Dean s/l.
It's a shame Johnny left, I'd like to see what they would do with him. |

Lee and nancy were supporting characters and now need their own. However shirley, dean and buster need tl relax.
I hope shirley goes on a year break this year. |

It's nice that The Carters have been given a well deserved break. It will also be good to see Nancy and Lee take centre and finally get more focus in their upcoming storylines. There's real potential there and I hope it goes well for both characters.

I think they are better now that have been toned down and intergrated more and I still love Shirley with Buster and the Foxes.

I couldn't care less if there was a Carter in every episode as long as they don't take up too much time. It is a balancing act for every family to get air time and often the Carters take more than their fair share. We have had a break from the Carters for a while but I bet in a week or so we will have nothing but Carters for ages.
Babes secret is still to come out which willbe taking a load of screen time i bet. |

Mick and Linda have had a much needed break from EE while other characters have done well in the spotlight. They're slowly coming back with brief scenes more recently.
The Lee stuff looks promising, as is Nancy's storyline with Tamwar. I liked her scenes with Stacey last week. |

So, is this a good change for the Carters? Is it going to be a good thing that Lee and Nancy appear on screen a lot and not necessarily Mick and Linda? For a long time, Nancy and Lee have been largely confined to the Vic, in the background of the Mick/Linda/Dean/Shirley/Stan drama. Friday's episode did a lot in cementing Nancy and Tamwar. I was a bit skeptical at first, but giving them a real human edge and seeing actually how well suited they are, was a great idea and a great way of strengthening their bond as a couple. As for Lee, he is well overdue a storyline as both he and Nancy have yet to feature in their own plot. Depression is a great story for him and this too, will also put him and Whitney under the microscope. I found it very refreshing the other night, that Mick and Linda featured very fleetingly on Linda's birthday. It wasn't about them or another party in the Vic. The children got to feature for a change. The Carter dominance has been broken a lot lately and we have seen other characters like the Masoods, Jacksons, Stacey, Shirley, Dean and Buster in their own stories. This week we see Stacey and Jean Slater back a the forefront. I don't think there is a Carter dominance as such, and even less so I think as the months go on with the Mitchells and Beales set for big stories. |
