I don't see anyone saying it's the worst of the series. I liked Marc as a housemate (not a fan) but I like BB more and for me that was an OK episode. What's more it probably wouldn't have been better if Marc were there.

The last week or so is usually pretty flat because they're all too scared to rock the boat when they're so close (except Harry- I'll give her that).

Over the Timewarp I finished most episodes feeling exhausted, drained and almost depressed at the constant sniping, bitching and shouting. Of course, that's a way of life by a light-hearted episode which leaves a happier feeling is a way of life too and, for me, is much needed in any series of Big Brother - again for the audience's sake as much as the Housemates.”

Nine this year as it has been confirmed as being reduced by one week

Funny how some of those who love the constant arguments are now the ones calling it 'boring'

The majority of us loved the episode, although I didn't agree with the busting into the camera runs

If BBUK wasn't as soft as it was, think the consequences could and probably should have been a bit more severe

Probably would have been more severe if the series wasn't so close to the end, as someone's head would have rolled

Ah thanks, that explains things, I thought everyone would have loved tonight's show as it was an upbeat reminder of the glory days of BB - but I guess it's tradition for the fans of the most recently evicted HM to still be in mourning and get all grumpy and pretend every subsequent show is 'like the worst show ever' without the presence of their precious .

I guess they were giving themselves room to maneuver. There's a distinct possibility that the Housemates could have turned around and told Big Brother they wouldn't pack - then what? No hot water? They'd already considered that. No prize fund? That's what they thought the punishment would be. All up for eviction? That would render the Cashbomb twist pointless (as would getting rid of the prize fund). Evict a Housemate? Slightly extreme and who would they choose? Chloe suggested it to start with. But they had those options; if they went tough from the start the Housemates may have done a 'Jack' and thought what's the point?

This is what BB should be about. HMs coming together and having loads of fun. No coincidence its happened now marq has been booted out.

I hate all the arguments this year and I thought tonight was boring and as I said, contrived.

Lol, this is hilarious
The whole purpose of this thread is for people who wanted Marc out to desperately try and say the shows better than ever now he's gone
Tonight's much hyped twist was a non-event so people are even trying to make out them doing the tired old camera run shtick at the end was a series highlight
Now Marc's gone they haven't got a baddie they can take their frustrations out on so they just moaned a bit & accepted what BB was throwing at them as none of them want to be seen as greedy or being the baddie.
It stank and deep down you all know it

I enjoyed this episode too, it was certainly more fun than most of the other episodes in this series.

BB allowed them to run around for a while to see if they could finally get some footage of the sloths doing something other than lying around moaning. How that make it a "brilliant episode" I don't know.

10.31pm: We just had to double check the time. Half the housemates are already in bed. #BBUKLive

But apparently the show's better than ever now!!!

Marcs contribution in this task would've made it even more enjoyable.

They've been threatening it for weeks it took throwing the dummy out after losing the prize money to get them to actually act out.

Bb are the reason that the hms have acted today, without the twist they'd all be under their duvets.

Plus they're all on winning mode, convenient they find a personality now.

I wanted Marc to win and I did enjoy tonight, but honestly Marc would've made tonight even more enjoyable. Why can't people see this?

The purpose of this thread, as you clearly cannot read my mind, is to say I thought tonight was a brilliant episode. I've been very critical of episodes and the edit of late so thought I should give praise where I, personally, thought praise was due.

I didn't want Marc to go on Friday; I was disappointed when he did. But the show amazingly moves on. We had 15 series of Big Brother without Marc and the franchise somehow survived.

Maybe there was a whiff of contrivance about it; maybe we'd seen some of it before. Maybe it's been so long since a feedgood episode, in general (it hasn't been that long in truth - the store room melee episode), that it was nice to have another. Even Harry and Cristian's argument came across more comical than savage.

What would he have done exactly? Probably had another argument with Danny over nothing, called everyone ejits for contemplating a rebellion 'just for airtime' and talked all through the nominations so the money went down at a rate of knots meaning there would have been nothing left for the pizza stunt. So instead of the tone of show we got it would have been full of ill-feeling once more.
