That was a brilliant episode

Marc would have added an element of competition to the button pressing task. Instead it was a complete bore with the same obvious targets going up for eviction (Sam/Harry) & the obvious ones being safe (Danny/Christian) and everyone accepting it as the inevitable. This would have happened even without the much hyped twist zzzzz
Marc would be winding them up to no end, trading the prize money for things he wanted
None of them dared to say anything really to Joel when he swapped money for the pizza as they don't want to be seen as going off on one of their friends over the prize money (ie looking like greedy bastards who value the prize money over their so called friendships) as it will risk them looking like bad guys. So again it was another total non-event. Whereas if Marc was in there spending the money they would have no problem kicking off on him as he is/was the house villain. That's why Danny was so comfortable having a go at Marc... But he (or any of the others) will never have a go at anyone left in there now as they know it will only make themselves look bad. They are way to savvy for that.
So now we will have a week of BB throwing the kitchen sink at them, and them taking it on the chin with a little moan at most... just like the first 2 weeks which is why Marc was sent in in the first place

"Brilliant episode" my ass. I wouldn't be surprised if that little rebellious piece of tedious nonsense they displayed was dropped to them by BB themselves, as they now scrape and struggle to fill in 1 HL show. Emma prolly past it on to her friend Danny while they had dinner in the DR that he'd to drop a few hints to his obedient litter...

This was the first HL that made me smile.

Marc who?

I would not say brilliant but enjoyable, funny and interesting without being very irritating and over loud.
Enjoyed it, almost like a real BB and we saw a good and reasonably equal amount of everyone.

I didn't want Marc to go on Friday; I was disappointed when he did. But the show amazingly moves on. We had 15 series of Big Brother without Marc and the franchise somehow survived.”

Ok, I believe you
It's just all the anti-Marc usual suspects seemed to show up in this thread saying things like it was the best episode ever... which is clearly a bit of a stretch & and I think more than merely a coincidence that it was the first episode post Marc's exit
And when people questioned the supposed greatness of this episode they were 'bitter Marc fans'.
Just seemed a bit cringey & hypocritical.

“Maybe there was a whiff of contrivance about it; maybe we'd seen some of it before. Maybe it's been so long since a feedgood episode, in general (it hasn't been that long in truth - the store room melee episode), that it was nice to have another. Even Harry and Cristian's argument came across more comical than savage.”

But apart from the last 5 minutes where they did the tired old camera run nonsense the rest of the episode consisted mostly of them moaning about one thing or the other.
How was it feel good
Only 2 days ago Friday's episode with Jack & the pastry's was hilarious... tonight's episode was miserable in comparison.

Not really. You had Cristian and Joel's digs in the bath which, for me, had a light hearted edge. The cashbomb task was ridiculously edited like it was part of Chariots of Fire, which added to the humour. Harry and Cristian's argument had a moment when all the other Housemates almost tried to disappear; the cut of the edit between the House and Harry screaming 'd***head' was, I thought, cleverly done; then we had Joel's pizza stunt where he first tried to bargain with more money than was left and his calculating horror look when he realised what he had got in return and, of course, the group escape - it wasn't so much the dash to the camera runs but the fact they were acting as run rather than being divided. But maybe all that just sums up my dubious sense of humour.

Friday's episode was good but they were divided during the task itself.

I thought it was pretty much a yawn, I paused it 4 times to watch other things. I had to fast-forward all the Christian bits, I'm sick of Joel and his bottom lip hanging open like Beaker off The Muppets, and the nominations were stupid with everyone licking each other over to seem nice.

The only bright spot was Harry going insane. Wished SECURITY would have kept half of them in the camera runs rather than send them back in.

I loved that episode! Now I finally feel I can get to know the characters in the house, better late than never.

So you hated tonights episode by the sounds of it then. Fair enough. Different strokes for different folks. Many people seemed to like it though.
But Marc wouldn't have said much at all to Joel either , Joel was one of the people he never really tried to 'mess' with. Due to Joel being intelligent and having a way with words and he knows how to twist things in his favor if need be. Just like Marc can also do.
As for the episodes to come only time will tell.

Thought the episode was fairly boring considering it had the first part of the cash twist which is normally exciting. The whole rebellion thing is a bit tedious for me, personally.. I understand why the kids find it funny though.

The only bit I enjoyed was Joel with the pizza and Joel and Nick laughing their heads off as the money kept going down.

I think you are clutching at straws a bit

The difference in sheer energy & life the house had merely a few days ago (Friday's episode) and now is undeniable.
Tonight's episode felt like it was taking place in a morgue in comparison

I didn't say Marc would say anything to Joel. I'm saying he would be spending the prize money himself like a motherf**ker which would infuriate everyone and provide the drama painfully lacking in tonight's lethargic show.

@marqoneill would you spend £2500 on pizza like @JoelTory

@mlhearne @JoelTory I'd spend every penny

Yup. The rebellion was the usual fail.

Joel was the only good part.

Seems people are right, there are very few bona fide people-watchers that watch these days.

I bet he choked on that! £2.500 for a bit of frozen pastry with cheese and whatever else they put in it........and he had to cook it himself. what a plonker.

If it had been a good a la carte meal from a decent restaurant with wine for them, that is one thing. To do it for a mizzling pizza......yuk.

Mardy Harry and a childish 'been done before' camera run. Average at best.

Bb are the reason that the hms have acted today, without the twist they'd all be under their duvets.

Plus they're all on winning mode, convenient they find a personality now.

I wanted Marc to win and I did enjoy tonight, but honestly Marc would've made tonight even more enjoyable. Why can't people see this?”

BB shook it up and made it interesting not the HMs. The little rebellion was like they had been given a little script to follow. Forced hilarity is never funny.

The best episode of the series.

It had everything you want from BB & not one single criminally misnamed 'legend' in site.

It just goes to show that the originals can put on a show if you structure things correctly.

Average at best, they had to make the Noms last two segments and the Camera runs another segment. There was not enough other content for us to get to know the other HM. Danny and Chloe are still holding the house back, unless it involves air time for them.

I have seen better but I have seen worse, the next few days will say if this final goes down with BB4 as one of the worst.

I enjoyed last nights show too. It showed them all happy in each other's company.

The rebellion thing was a bit dated but then so is splashing people in the pool, chucking people onto beds, grabbing HM's ankles and dragging them round the garden & the WUM/ antagonistic character has been done to death also. Helen, Perez, KatieH, James Jordan so a nice change there too.

Also what was a refreshing change, no Nick and Harry under some cover or other.
