I have just removed a tick from my spaniel using a tick remover from the pet shop but I forgot to wear gloves when I was removing it but I never touched the tick and washed my hands afterwards. Will I be ok

There seems to be an increase in ticks this years as my dog has had a few

They have to bite you (imbed) in your skin for you not to be OK even then it's not 100% you would be ill or anything.

I remove lots of ticks from my customer's dogs, never touched one, if you use the right tool for doing so you don't need to touch the tick itself, just part the fur around it, remove, put in tissue and flush down the bog or bin. You will be fine if you didn't touch it.
