CS: Anybody else bored of Liz, Steve and Michelle in the Rovers?
Daily Dreams

Liz's return, bar recently, has pretty much been non-existent. The only time I've enjoyed her is when she got a little revenge on Tracy last week. It was good to see.

Steve and Michelle, for me, are so forced together as a couple and it's a shame since Michelle is so unlikable.

I can't even picture what's next for this family? Liz'll lose yet another man in the form of Dan at some point no doubt, Michelle'll become a loose part once Carla's gone and just stand behind the bar every now and then and Steve with his right-hand man Lloyd leaving, will be left with scenes of him and the dog.

I wish Blackburn had created a new family to take over from the Rovers a mother, father, daughter, son unit would work well.

Personally I'd like Tony to take over, we need a real man in the Rovers and a good strong landlord. Not that Corrie will do it as we must make Liz and Michelle look superior.

I don't think Liz should have returned. Personally I would have liked Sally to run the Rovers.

For me , Steve and Michelle are fine in the pub .

Liz on the other hand totters around like a pantomime dame and needs to head back to Spain a.s.a.p.

Ideally Liz and Michelle would leave on a one way ticket to Spain and Steve would get his mojo back (starting a new, successful business) while there's a whole new broom at the Rovers.

Steve and Michelle are ok, but bored with Liz and her silly wardrobe. I know it's just her character, but she's bordering on being a Bet Lynch take off now.

I don't think I'd ever get bored with Steve, but Liz and Michelle have been boring from day 1.

Liz used to be OK in the 80's and 90's with her and "yer man" going at it hammer and tongs.

It's hard to believe the actress and character is the same one that was in it 20 years ago...

No.

Steve and Michelle are hilarious together and have already become the new Jack and Vera. Liz is great as always too and should always be behind the bar as Liz and the Rover's is iconic IMO.

History just repeating itself. Liz with her umpteenth fella, Steve married to a good-for-nothing scrounger. They got rid of the McDonalds because they were boring and a few years later decided to bring them back. Ridiculous!!

The Prices were brought in to shake things up and as much as Stella isn't popular here, she did exactly that. A proper landlady. That was until Blackburn decided to bring Liz back into the fold (who was given a big farewell send off!!!) and have her meddle with the punters.

I'm just sick to death with the clapped-out McDonalds. I'd love to see Tony as landlord and heck, even Tracyluv as barmaid. Something different.

The other problem is the disorganisation. Since when has Andrea and Eileen been barmaids? Would Annie Walker really be happy if Sarah told her she couldn't do a shift because of a 'family emergency'?? Sean is often seen doing nothing but folding towels and making pointless quips. There is no cleaner and it's not clear who the chef is.

The only salvation is Eva, the modern-day Raquel. I hope she takes back her job, but

Spoiler
It seems as though she gets shifted to the factory

That would have been fun. Like Davros and Lord Voldemort running a Bed & Breakfast.

Utterly. The McDonalds time at the Rovers ended with the arrival of St.ella. To me Steve is like the Duckworths owning the Rovers - completely wrong. He works best at the cab office with Lloyd and Eileen.
I would like to see Clare King as the new Rovers landlady. Think that would work.

Sounds good. With those eyes he could keep an eye on the till and the bar at the same time.

That's not a bad idea but It will not happen because according to Corrie law the Rovers must be run by a strong woman. Corrie has it's rules and sticks to them far too rigidly. Hence we have Liz and Michelle at the Rovers. With the exception of Carla those two must be the street's numero uno women. Note though that Michelle used to be the most feisty and Liz used to defer to her. These days Liz is head feisty woman and Michelle is a lot nicer!
