That there was going to be some sort of road accident when we saw Jean running out of the house and it cut to Max and Carol on the bike?!

Yes, I did!

I said to my sister 'watch Jean get hit by Max and Carol on the bike'...

And then it didn't actually happen.

Weird!

Are Stacey & Jean helping sooth Kat & Alfie's temporary departures Retro?

Funny because when I saw the car come round the corner; which happened to end up being Ollie, I thought that there was going to be a collision. I did hear that they went out on the bike to enjoy themselves and of course the lovely scenes of them giggling getting on the bike was clearly those 'enjoying themselves' scenes completed, so I then was quite surprised to see that there wasn't some form of tragedy as they rode off together, glad there wasn't though! Nice to see the carol character and the max character both having a nice innocent time together after all they've been through recently, must be hard acting all those difficult, upsetting, miserable, strong scenes all the time! And I mean that with all respect to them as actors and the writers; very gripping story lines, if it sounds like I'm slating them I don't mean it to sound that way

Daran Little bringing a bit of that Corrie warmth it was once famed for to the Square. Only on EastEnders would we all just assume someone would perish!

I did think they were going to hit somebody or crash, but can't say I automatically thought of Jean tbh

The irony of the biggest bikes in Walford riding around like that...

Not so much thought there would be an accident so much as hoped there would be one - with Jean as the only fatality.

Only in EE indeed! I was thinking that, too. I was thinking 'Oh, typical EastEnders style. Carol & Max are smiling & going off on Jim's bike then they end up ploughing into Jean.' Was shocked it didn't happen!

That's the kind of thing I expect to see a Hollyoaks writer coming up with.

If it was Kirkwood in charge Jean would've been hit, ended up in hospital and be at the mercy of the gloved hand killer.
