Did he

So do you think he's delusional, simply lying, or that their was more to their relationship than we saw? i mean was Danny pretending to hate Marc?

Yea, that's true, the clique, generally speaking didn't tell Marc how he made them feel, but he did rather scare the pants off them in order to bring them to heel.

I won't blame people for being intimidated into silence, anymore than i'd blame Sam for feeling pressured by Marc and Helen to nominate Danny.

Banter is reciprocal comedy it's between two people and not from one person to another. Do you understand?
Quote:
“Banter - the playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks.”
You tell me? when someone continues to do something potentially insulting, and they know it's not appreciated, therefore certainly insulting, what is it called? Is it playful, or aggresive, is it disrespectful, or respectful, is it social or anti-social, is it game or not a game?
Marc's game was
A. Aggressive
B. disrespectful
C. Anti-social
Own it. "Tell it like it is", "be real", "stop being fake". See the game instead of bending reality to your cause of supporting Marc. I think you're looking for an argument like most Marc fans who don't listen to reason. Here ya go then

Marc humiliated Sam on at least two occasions. 1. During the interviews where he called her cringe and 2. When he tried to brow-beat her into nominating Danny. I don't remember Danny ever humiliating a woman.
