Let's talk about irrational dislike. On a forum where Helen is treated like the devil incarnate, where posters positively revel in how nasty they can be about her, and where Marc is slated to the high heavens, you have the nerve to call me out on having an irrational dislike because I called Zayn, erm I mean Cristian, MC Cornflake.

I cannot take anything you say seriously when you come out with nonsense like this, and especially in a place when you DO see the proper bonafide, full on 100% irrational dislike from so many others. I'm the guy that has often called this out from time to time.
Cristian is not immune from criticism and the criticism he has had is ridiculously mild in comparison to what other HMs get from far more obsessed posters than I.

I totally disagree with you - Christian is the only housemate who has behaved impeccably in that house, IMO he is coming across as a very well brought up young man, you forget he is only 20 years old, still so young. Christian has shown such maturity far more than the rest of the housemates. Christian to WIN.

With respect I'm not sure you really know what you're disagreeing with. Did you quote the wrong post? Why do you assume I 'forget' he's 20? Seems a bit of an odd thing to assume. (and you're wrong on this too).

A poster (incorrectly) claimed I had some irrational dislike for Cristian. I don't even really dislike the guy, let alone irrationally dislike him, but that doesn't mean I can't be critical of him or that he is immune from criticism. If anything there's a better argument to be made (esp looking at some of the posts in here) that there is an irrational like for him, and that those who have this irrational like cannot seem to take any criticism of him whatsoever.

In response to the irrational dislike misnomer- I merely pointed out what real irrational dislike was, and on this forum it is rife. This point has (to date) been conveniently ignored.

Okay let's address it. Firstly, I have no irrational dislike for any of the housemates. I don't particularly like Harry because I find her annoying, needy and selfish in that she has no regard for how her behaviour affects the rest of the house. I do feel a little bit sorry for her because I think she really is a bit bonkers but in the house I think she has been the master of her own destiny. I don't like Jack or Chloe because I find them both very entitled and in my view they truly believe they and they alone deserve to win. I don't think there is anything irrational about that. I was very ambivalent about Marc in that he did my head in when he first came in and I then grew to quite like him followed by thinking he was the most guilty of the crime he accused everyone else off i.e. being desperate to win and being a gameplayer but I have to admit to feeling a little bit sad when he was finally evicted as I think that underneath all his nonsense he is probably a decent guy. I do think Helen is a horrible person and I believe she has proved that time and again with her nasty mouth, not because of Brian who I have always thought was putting on an act but because of her nastiness to anyone who dared to disagree with her and her cruel way of speaking to and about people. I like Cristian for all the reasons I have given in various threads which are mainly because I think he is a nice, decent guy who doesn't rely on sex talk or deliberate nastiness to get airtime. As I said he's just a bit older than my grandson and if he had been in that house and behaved the way Cristian has I would be proud of him. Nothing to do with his penis!

I do agree with the point if Cristian was female, he would have very little fans. His main drive is his looks and the fact he gained some sympathy in week 1 due to being nominated for being quiet. However he has done very little long term to gain such die hard popularity IMO. He was a dick to Jade and for that whole week was a complete tit; if that was the real Cristian then you can keep him.

Well thank you for your post here Janis, and I actually think fair enough (to an extent) with your judgement re Cristian.

The main point in my original post was that good looking guys will get far more leeway on reality tv shows than their female equivalent, largely based on who views and votes .
If Cristian was a very good looking female who rapped pretty badly and spoke in a multitude of accents, do you genuinely think she would have the same support?

You might be right in that assumption. To be honest I've never really been interested in analysing all the male/female, black/white, black female/white female conspiracies which pop up on here. That doesn't mean they're not valid but I've never found them important enough to research in relation to a second rate reality tv show. As for the other point, rather than it being an advantage I often think good looking people, both male and female, are disadvantaged in the BB house. But in answer to your question as to whether Cristian fans would be leaping to his defence if he was a woman, my answer is I don't know because he isn't!

Oh dear, you really have not been watching have you. He did much the same as many of you on here, he targetted Sam because she liked Marc, he's been saying nasty stuff to her all the way through, he's forever taking pokes at her out of the blue, remember his diatribe at her in the bedroom ? No, I don't suppose you do because everyone was too busy having a go at Helen and Marc for supposedly "telling her to evict Danny", even though all they said to her was "remember it's a game and be careful how you nominate, look to next week rather than the week just gone", to take any notice of Cristian having a go at her next in the bedroom and basically warning her off voting for any of the CORE 4 in his gangsta-rapper voice. He makes up nasty rap songs about her, he's forever telling her what she can and can't do and that she's an idiot because she's always happy. Cristian also knew fine well that Jade was flirting in the way girls do when they're bored, just to have a laugh and pass time, she told him she was countless times, yet he still spread all the nastiness about her being a serial bed hopper and chasing after all the men (lol what "men" ?) to Brian and Nikki etc. and anyone else that would listen. I'm not going to bother saying how he stitched Marc up because I've said it so many times on here, and can't be bothered to smack my head up against the brick wall of "doesn't matter what you say about Marc cos he liked Helen so he doesn't count" on here. Funny though isn't it, how all he said about that lot is coming out about them now, even for those that wouldn't have it as being true for all those weeks because HE said it
