EE house redevelopment
Can somebody explain what's going on with the slater house, doctors surgery/cora's flat and Ian's house with this E20 company?

Looks like it's being done up into posh/expensive flats. I like this storyline as it's exactly what is happening in the East End right now, as are the opposing view points about gentrification. Finally EE are addressing it. Also the leaflets through the letter box are are a reality - used to get loads in Hackney. Also Max renting out his house is a great idea. Max could earn a fortune a month renting out his home. All a bit sudden in one episode but very true to life.

Sounds like gentrification to me. Quite a timely storyline given the pace of change in the East End in real life.

I actually think it would be good to have a slightly more upper class family move into the square

It also reminded me of Cora when carol said working class people were getting kicked out because I remember Cora was evicted in the first place because the landlord sold the property to redevelopers

I'm really glad they are doing something so realistic and different to the normal stuff.

Compared to the Corrie set there hasn't been much about the Albert Square rebuild
