He said he is a quarter indian so eating a scotch bonnet pepper was no problem to him

I think he probably meant that as one of his grand parents is Indian and therefore a parent is half Indian that maybe he grew up in a household where perhaps his granny and then his mum cooked lots of Indian food and he was used to hot spicy food.

I don't get how that was so funny tbh..yes, he is quarter Indian and yes, he probably has tried a lot of spicy things, which is why he said it during the task. Lol

Just Cristian being humble again and then looking like a bit of a dick when the burn set in.

Turned out it was though

For some bizarre reason, when I was watching Jack and Chloe eating the scotch bonnets and the pain they were in, all I could hear, in my head, was Jasper Carrot's joke about (a similar situation) his a*se, the following morning, being like the map out of Bonanza

For those too young to know it, around 10 seconds in will explain it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXJ6zPYCwbE

Big brother knew that so gave him 200 but poor Jack only got £5.

That's what I thought when I saw this thread last night.
I was wondering if I was missing some joke here.

He's a quarter Indian. Isn't that just a statement of fact? What's the joke?

It was just funny that he bigged himself up and then we got to watch his face as the pain started to hit. He was laughing, himself. Nothing sinister.

Okay.
What do you mean nothing sinister? I never said anyone was being sinister.

Beats me, perhaps 'quarter Indian' is some sort of euphemism where they live.

OMG! He said he was a quarter Indian, which implied he would have no problem eating the hot chilli (because he was used to eating spicy food). So he ate the chilli with great confidence and then as it's power hit him, he realised that it was in fact a lot stronger than he'd imagined and that was what was funny. Got it?
