Well if he's trying to get them out of their shells, it's working! Sam and Chloe especially

Sounded like Joel was trying to calmly discuss something and Danny and Chloe think that shouting is the best way to get their point across.

Joel making a big fuss over Sam prepared to go either way and emphasising he said openly he wanted to eat the food...but he didn't eat the food, so he acted in exactly the same way!

Yeah.

He spoke in a calm collected way, while they all ganged up on him.

I think that whatever his political were he would still be a pompous, patronising little prick. He talks an awful lot, but actually says nothing, and doesn't know when to shut up, so he could be an MP of any party.

Yes he showed what two faced bitches Chloe and Sam are.

Loved him tonight he called Sam out correctly for the sheep she is

Always said it from day one, he probes to get answers, so he can use it to his own advantage.

Something he probably picked up from his politician-wannabe lessons.

Knowledge is power!

Yup, he is very good at it.

He's a young Tory infiltrator sent in by the government to make us think that Tory equals cool and trendy.
Excuse me now while I get back to my " trendy symbols of the illuminati" book

They came out last weeks in the hotel task, he was a right pompous shit then too! Never been able to take to him!

It makes me laugh how people only dislike him, because he's a Tory.

Joel was ganged up on tonight. Anyone can see that... What a shame. Felt sorry for him when the clique were all sitting in the sky room slagging him off saying 'oh no, here he comes'. Especially Cristian, when they're supposed to be pals.

He's the best HM in there and he dealed with the situation in a calm way.

As for Sam, she is awful! Right up Marc's arse to begin with, slagged him off when throughout his fake eviction, then tried to worm her way back in with him. Now he's gone, she's more a sheep than ever trying to fit in with the clique. She can take her loving life and 'positive' vibes elsewhere...

Joel's been the same throughout and it's nice to see Helen, Marc and Jade supporting him (Even if I dislike Helen & Marc). Hope he wins!

Can't stand Joel he was alright to throw pastries in jacks face & he was alright to call Christian greedy because he ate more than others but when the takeaway food was in front of them he was the first to say i want to eat it

Cristian wasn't really slagging him off: all he said was that Joel is very clever and skilled at arguing so it is sometimes best to avoid getting into an argument with him. Notice Cristian quickly came down from the sky room when it all kicked off and stood behind Joel.

Shortly afterwards, they were seen chatting amicably and Cristian complimented Joel's debating skills. They are good pals and the Croel bromance seems to be intact.

Joel is a typical politician, a liar (the pizza incident), Does his best to make the opposition look bad. and manipulative. He arrogantly thinks he is always right, I didn't like him at first, then started to like him until Marc came into the house, now I despise him and his superior attitude, spoilt little boy.

To be fair, no one came out of the episode in a good light... bad attitude from Harry, Chloe and Jack.. Danny pretending he was shocked that he's a game player... people might not like the way Joel questions people but he has been doing it for nine weeks - he has not changed - others have - wonder if it's anything to do with the cash? BTW how do any of us know he is spoilt (at home)?

I was shouting that at the T.V. but they didn't hear me.

I've been up and down with Joel: I enjoy his lighter side (slut drop, anyone?) but that seems to be disappearing in favour of a more sanctimonious side.

I don't think he is manipulative as such, but he is good at manipulating an argument or debate (which is pretty much what Cristian said to him).

To clarify, I don't think he goes out of his way to manipulate people in a self-serving Machiavellian way, but he can find the tiniest holes in his opponent's argument and use them to his strengthen his case. He will be a skilled politician.

i dont get what you mean about Joel's true colours / anyone actually
tbh imo Him, Jack, Nick, Harry, Sam are still like what they are in the start though

Christian changed a bit at timewarp week, but returning to his former self
so is Danny also changed but return after Marc got evicted

the only one who changed this week is Chloe imo

That's how it seemed to me! During the task Joel simply said what he wanted to do (eat the food) just as everyone else said what they wanted to do. He also said he would go along with the majority verdict but no-one (especially Chloe) would take that on board rather preferred to target Joel as a bad person for his view. It seems that his calm style of arguing can't be listened to or taken on board against the shout 'em down style of Chloe.
