If you were offered money to leave...

If rumours are true, HMs may be given the chance to leave on Friday with some cash.

Say, hypothetically, they offer £50k. Would you walk for that amount when you're so close to the end? You'd have to be pretty well off for £50k not to be a life changing amount of money, so It's a big dilemma.

There's also the factor that you could be perceived as 'cheating' the eventual winner out of their prize money.

What would you do? And what do you think the HMs would do?

I wouldn't care what people thought I would do what i wanted to do. I am owever nit sure what that would be tbh. 50k is alot of money to turn your back on but for me not life changing.

I wouldn't blame anyone for taking it though. You only have a 1 in 7 chance of being the winner so chances are you will leave with nothing so why not?

Exactly and the winner will still be the winner.

It would depend on how I felt I was been perceived and what I believed my chances of winning might be. If however I was in Jack, Sam or Harry's position I would definitely take the money and walk. Being in a similar position to one of the others though would require some careful thinking.

I would take it myself, and I think all the MHs except Nick as he want to be in the final, and Chloe as she would just stand there confused as what she should do would also take it, hell it worked out for Eugene.

Depends on the offer but I would most likely take it. After all I would not be depriving the winner of being the winner.

Does the £50,000 come off the prize fund?

Slightly off topic but I wondered if they've began messing around with the prize fund because they haven't made as much as they expected from votes etc (or because they had to pay Marc 50 p a week extra to keep him there).

it is hard to say unless you are in the house and its a week to the final, so I cannot speak for myself,I dont blame any of them if they took the money but not the ones who have stated they would not take the money, especially Joel who has said he would rather be a winner with no money, we will see, I dont quite believe him though .

I do. The satisfaction of winning is powerful. The money is of secondary importance. Many people take part in activities where there is no monetary reward for winning.

As I've said in a previous thread, I'd deffo take the money as my loyalties lie with loved ones outside the house, not the group of people inside the house that I've only known for a number of weeks and i probably wont know anymore in a years time.

£50 - deposit on a house, small loan paid off, bring the kiddies on a nice holiday = great boost for the future & family

Defo take the £50k.
Lets be honest they are there for the money and the experience. Winning not so much.
Theyve had virtually the whole experience now , the last week is just waiting for the end and usually offers very little so defo take the £50k and leave.

So much depends on their and their families' circumstances. I couldn't judge anyone for taking the money.

Personally, I would be gutted to miss out on the final week, but I couldn't turn down 50k. You'd always think, if only...

The game this season has been leading to this - the ultimate test: selfish or selfless?
We'll see

But wouldn't you think "if only" even if you took the miney and then got out and found you were in with a chance if winning? I think there is potential for regret either way. Not that i really do regret tbh.

Its a conundrum.

Totally agree with this. 50K would pay off all my debts, pay for a nice holiday and get me a half decent car. Sorted.

I think if I had done 8 weeks and I knew I was in the final, then I would rather see the whole experience through, than take the money.

But I don't judge anybody for actually taking it, it's money a lot of people don't have.

If I was in Jacks position - IE was pretty sure I wasn't going to win, I'd take it - after all most of them are bleating on about being there for the experience, so surely it wouldn't be an issue?

This week has shown the hypocricy of that lol

By taking the money I would be giving the other housemates better odds to win.

Say I took 10k out of 100k and left.

Would you rather have a 1 in 7 chance of winning 100k or a 1 in 6 chance of winning 90k?

50k take the money and run, experience huh, put up with them for weeks on end, trying to be nice, for the public vote, and possibly end up coming 4th, nah take the money.

I had to take time out to think seriously about this one Jason as I would naturally say, no......if it were to be taken from the prize fund - that is the way I thought I would act.

Now, after this series, when at the end they seem all out to take what they can, my answer is YES, I would. There does not seem to be any true friendships in there, they have had too many distractions this year.

Yes, indeed, I would take the money and run......

I totally agree with you. They are not your friends in there and would screw you over at the drop of a hat. I would take the money in a heartbeat and if it came off the winners prize fund even better for the sheer pleasure of seeing Chloes face drop.

Without hesitation I would take the money and run. At this very stage of my life it's about survival, not greed. And as someone else said .... my loyalties lie with my family, not some wombles I've known a few weeks and hope never to cross paths with again.

The script is clearly for Jack to go home with some money. How they will engineer it so that he's the one who goes, I'm not sure yet.

It's difficult, if he has the highest number of votes they certainly can't then offer him money, it would be a kick in the face to those who voted. If he is one of the three saved they could bring back the red target, offer them the money and see who is the fastest to press?

If I were in Jack's shoes, taking the money wouldn't even be an option. I would have waltzed off with the car weeks ago and wiped the prize fund out.
