If I was in either Sam or Harry's shoes I would take it and run as I know I don't have a cat in hells chance of winning

I agree. With a 1 in 7 chance of actually winning, which in real life may be even longer odds because housemates aren't on a level playing field due to the public already having formed opinions, you may be as long as 50/1 to win the show. And with a guaranteed £50k, I'd probably go for the £50k knowing it was the smartest option.

Slightly off topic but I wondered if they've began messing around with the prize fund because they haven't made as much as they expected from votes etc (or because they had to pay Marc 50 p a week extra to keep him there).”

I wouldn't care. If you've gone in there to win the money, then you try and win as much as you can.
The eventual winner isn't going to share their money with you, so why not? At least you get something as well as the winner.

Say, hypothetically, they offer £50k. Would you walk for that amount when you're so close to the end? You'd have to be pretty well off for £50k not to be a life changing amount of money, so It's a big dilemma.

There's also the factor that you could be perceived as 'cheating' the eventual winner out of their prize money.

What would you do? And what do you think the HMs would do?”

They wouldn't see me for dust and I think if the HMs have any sense they would take the money and run too. Conor may have been a pig but nobody can really blame him for taking the money!

I agree. because this idea that it's somehow noble to allow the winner to win all the money because they deserve it is partly an illusion. Just winning the show may satisfy the ego, but come on, we all know that winning BB in reality amounts to little in the real world.
It's a TV show. It's a game where illusion starts to replace reality and you may forget that the prize is to win a large sum of cash.

In a previous series housemates spoke about sharing money that they had won. It was Aaron's year. But as soon as they left the house and went back to reality it soon all fell apart. You have to always remember that people in there are your rivals and will take money off you if you start falling into the illusion that you've made friends for life or something.

Take the money and leave. You can do a lot for your family with 50K. Family is more important than any finals night. Besides you'd still be there on finals night in the atmosphere. As for winning no one has a clue in there who will win they never do. So the gamble of staying in and not taking the money would be to high.
