George Parker is amazing. She's been on the show now for five years which is a long time for H&A. I always felt Roo was a missed opportunity this time round. There was all the mystery surrounding the money for Martha when she first arrived. And as Roo was a bitch before, we all just presumed she stole it. But that didn't happen. Roo's twenty years away from Summer Bay were never really delved into. She could just be a new character really. It's a shame she never got to see Martha.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned this yet but they also need Cornelian Frances back as Morag. A classic character played by an amazing actress who was made no bones about the fact she wants to be a regular cast member.
Dannii Minogue's pleas to come back have also been ignored. And given what a massive TV star Dannii was in the UK, it could give the show a much needed boost.

Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes!! Cornelia Frances is not only an amazing actress who could outperform any of the dull teens in Summer Bay, but she is also an Aussie icon. I am baffled as to why she hasn't been asked back to the show. She'd be absolutely brilliant. I'd certainly start watching again if she made a return.

Georgie Parker is also a great actress, but she's either propping up Maddy's storylines or not doing anything at all. H&A should count themselves lucky that an actress of her her calibre is still on their show and USE her wisely.

According to Cornelia Frances' son on instagram, he said that Cornelia is missing Home and Away a lot and she is still saddened that she hasn't been asked to return to Home and Away

She is definitely a Home and Away icon. I miss Morag so much and her outspoken attitude always made me smile.

No because Brax is a character, not an actor. But yes Steve Peacock who played Brax ss one of them. Say what you like about the character, but you can't really deny that he is a superb actor. He's already made a good start in his life outside of Home and Away.

For the record when I said 2 of the greatest actors I didn't mean the definite greatest actors but I meant that both of the actors are right up there in terms of acting talent compared to the rest of the cast. And the other actor I meant was Will McDonald.

She is one return I wouldn't mind. There have been several court cases she could've been involved in. Especially now Alf is ill, she should've been there in a flash.

This makes me sad. It just shows how out of touch TPTB are with the show. Morag was centre stage and around a lot during Dan Bennett's last era so hopefully he will bring her back. Her last stint for Roo's wedding was pretty uneventful. Her bickering with Celia was funny but she hasn't had a proper story of her own probably since Ross died. Alf could definitely do with her with his current storyline. For somebody who cares so much about the show and her character, it's a shame how she has been treated. A lot of missed opportunities with Morag with Roo and Marilyn back around. I never really understood why Morag was such a bitch to Roo when she came back. We were always led to believe they were very close but Morag wouldn't even allow her stay in the house, she sent her to a caravan!

It is good to see Dannii doesn't think she is too good to return to the show. At least she is grounded in that way and would be willing to return for a guest stint.

Home And Away need more older characters, so they should bring Morag back. She was a brilliant character.

Last year she put up a pic of her in the diner and I got excited thinking she was back but The X Factor is filmed next door so she had just popped in to say hi. I think it was a stroke of genius that they got Dannii to present the Hall of Fame Logie to Ray Meagher this year - she was Ailsa's niece and she is still friends with Ray and Kate. In fact, when Ray won his Gold Logie, Dannii got in big trouble for tweeting how happy she was for him - but there was a delay in it being broadcast and it hasn't aired on TV yet he had won!

I'm sure its fans love it but even the trailers always feel completely monochrome to me. It's always a series of straight, similarly flawless-looking 20 somethings kissing and seducing each other. I call it Ozzie eHarmony.

Agree, the dip in ratings is because they've left. Although now maybe Angelos will be sold and they can finally change the menu which hasn't changed one iota since it opened as a tapas place!

Quite hard to explain why any actor is a superb actor and I'm not sure how I'd explain it to you. I just watch and think that he is, if you think he's nothing special then fair enough

The endless triangles and the poor character development is the main reason the show is suffering. It's been going in circles for about 5 years now with no signs of changing. The Braxton's weren't bad but they were poorly developed (despite charismatic actors) and their plot lines were on a rinse and repeat cycle that drive me balmy. It's curious that ratings held up in Oz for most of this but are now suddenly dropping to the panic level. We are about 6 weeks behind so I wonder what has happened down under in this time?

Indeed who was the last older character they brought in. It must be Roo. Definitely would love to see Morag. The actress does dry comedy and drama brilliantly and would love to come back. She would have been kept busy defending the Braxtons plus she would have visited Alf when he was in hospital. I can only guess its the current weak producer who is against it.

Older characters do work. Look at John and Gina. Real Home and Away fans also loved Colleen. Theres not comedy in it at the moment and with Marilyn disappearing for a short time, comedy will be nearly zero.

I'm another Morag fan. She can be a bit abrasive but she cares deeply for her family and I love her dry sense of humour. I would have thought now would be the perfect time for her to return with Alf's PTSD.

I agree about older characters working. My two all time favourite characters are oldies - Gina who you mentioned and also Dr Sid Walker. They were both brilliant.

Don't agree. The only good actor out of the three of them that have left was Lincoln Younes. Steve Peacocke is mediocre at best. Dan Ewing was woeful. Though to be fair he improved by the time he left. It didn't help he was always surrounded by the highly annoying Bianca & April.

I read that old Kanga is getting a story line very soon.

I thought Steve was much better than him in particular when Charlie died. I also think the guy who plays Kyle is decent too. ..

However the older/long time actors are superior and I hope morag returns.

Thank you I don't 'get' nicknames, neither do other people I know on here. A lot of ED fans give ED characters nicknames too and even though I watch ED regularly I sometimes don't know who they're talking about. I don't know why people just don't call the characters by their proper names.
