Well done to the cast & crew in tonight's episode. One thing that really stood out was all the long servers coming together, after knowing Deirdre for years.

It was nice to see Emily, Rita, Audrey, Ken, Bev, Norris, Liz, etc... All involved and it was all done very realistically.

Absolutely. It really was done so well. Very moving.

I was holding it together until Emily broke down in tears. And then Ken at the end.

So very sad but a beautifully written and acted episode IMO.

The writing was dreadful I thought. I didn't feel anything aside from sadness that Anne is no longer with us.

She's abysmal usually, let's hope it's a turning point fort be actress and the character!

I agree....I really thought the episode would have been so much better than it was...It was not a great goodbye for Anne.

I hope so, bitch Tracey is old and tired now. It's time to take her character somewhere new and give her some development.

A lovely episode tonight. Sad and humorous (typical Corrie-style!)

Shame there are still some critics on here that expected more!
Wait until the funeral next week!

Is it wrong to want to be moved and emotional- I didn't feel anything at all bar the ken/Steve and Emily scenes. It is highly unfair to make people feel bad for not liking the episode.

Some of us were moved and emotional but you know the saying that ends...

Yes and very diplomatic of you ForGodsSake. I read your post earlier

I just didn't like the callum/gail/Eileen scenes tbh. It should have been all Deirdre.

I did expect more, much more! The whole thing was poorly written and the scripts hollow. Don't even get me started on the acting! This episode should have dedicated to Deidre and her family, not on Sarah and Callum, and the horrific Eileen / Michael double act. The reveal of a much loved characters death was marred by non sensical rubbish and let the whole thing down. I am disappointed that once again a character with such a rich history has been disrespected to such an extent. First Hayley and now Deidre. They deserved so much better.

The above is (as always) just MY opinion. I do not attempt to speak for other FM's or anyone else.

It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't a tragedy either. Let's wait until the funeral before we make a judgement on Deirdre's exit ay!

Viewers on Facebook and Twitter loved the episode so the positives out way the negatives.

I don't get the fuss surrounding Deirdre the way people are talking you would think that Corrie started in 1972.

I don't feel like Ken and Liz were acting. I also feel like Emily was supposed to deliver a line but she couldn't finish it but they left it in.

I actually thought that it was good to have other storyline's running at the same time, made it seem more realistic, is real life things still do go on around you even tho someone you love has died. Well done to everyone involved.

If the storylines going on around it were even vaguely interesting I'd agree but (IMO) they were literally just filler, not even worthy of a standard episode, never mind one as important as this one!

It was a good episode. Why they had to include dead woods like Callum I will not know which took away the sadness feel. Kate Ford was really good, I promised myself I wouldn't feel sorry for Tracy after what she did, vp but I couldn't help it. I did have a few tears, particularly at the end of the episode where Steve comforts Ken.

What would've finished it off nicely would have been silent credits. But never mind.
