Huawei EMUI (Emotion UI)

Huawei EMUI (Emotion UI)

Does anyone here own a Huawei? I hear good things about some of there high end phones (P8 and Honor 8) but they always slate the EMUI. Is it really as buggy and laggy as they say? My dad has the EE Kestrel which is a Huawei and that seems pretty smooth to me, and thats just a low-mid range phone!

I'm really looking at getting a Huawei phone, I've always had Sony Xperia phones but my current one (Xperia SP) has been the worst phone I have ever owned! (Very slow, laggy, always running out of ram, crashes and poor build quality)

I just bought my wife the Honor 4X and I'm really impressed with it.

It's nice and slick without any lag and that's even before it gets the Lollypop upgrade in a couple of months hopefully so that will take advantage of the 64bit processors.

One initial niggle was that all the apps were on the home screens (like an iPhone) and could not be hidden away in an app drawer like normal Android, but this was resolved straight away by bunging Nova Launcher on it.

All in all a good phone (good screen and build and works with 4G in the UK ok) and it's one of the cheaper Huawei phones.

Yeah, I did worry about the lack of an app drawer, but I use Hola Launcher now on my Xperia SP, in an attempt to speed things up (It does actually improve things, a bit). I actually find things easier to access once everything is in named folders.
