Smart Bones

My six month old pup went crazy when I gave him one of those Playtime smartbones from Pets at Home... it s round with a rattle inside.. he went completely out of controll hiding in my wardrobe and digging among shoes to hide this thing, then running round the house with it sticking out his mouth... he then jumped inside a big planter in the back garden and buried it...then dug it out and wanted to eat it, I had to take it off him.....whats in these things to make him act this way or is it normal for a pup... nothing else makes him do this. so Ive not given him one since.

It's just new and exciting if you keep giving it to him he will eventually get used to it, he was just having fun.

I can only say I would as mine play like that sometimes with very exciting toys, obviously if you feel it's not right for your dog you need to make sure he keeps calm so don't give it. Lambies are the most exciting thing mine have had and we limit the use to a couple of times a week to preserve the excitement as we love to see them having fun.

I agree. He was just hyper with a new toy. Mine are still like that now.
