2015-16 - Who Will Win the Leagues? DS Predictor
Hi all, a new predictor coming to DS this season which I will be running!
Simply predict who you think will win the selected leagues and I will do the rest, you only make one prediction at the beginning of the season and then you are done and I will update every now and then. The scoring system is very simple but different to normal predictors. If the team you selected to win the league wins the league, you get 0 points. If they finish second you get 1 point, third 2 points and so on... At the end of the season, the player who has the least points will win! I will post the template in my next post. |

English Premier League:
English Championship: English League One: English League Two: Scottish Premier League: Scottish Championship: Scottish League One: Scottish League Two: Italian Serie A: German Bundesliga: Spanish La Liga: French Ligue 1: Dutch Eredivisie: I know you may be thinking some league are pointless predicting (namely the SPL) but I have decided to add them anyway for consistency. Let me know if you think I should add any more leagues. Deadline: 1st August, 2015 - 12pm (I will extend if I feel I need to.) Good luck!

What about adding the Champions League and Europe League too mate ? Runner up could be 1 point, semis 2 points, quarters 3 points and so on

Not sure to be honest, one problem is, I was planning on doing updates throughout the season so I can't really update it without the Champions League winner. You could be leading but your team might have already gone out of the Champions League. Then there's the fact that the team that wins the Europa League could start off in the Champions League. I'll probably just leave it as it is and see if we get any entrants and if it goes well I'll do a cups one next season as well as the league one, where I can then include Champions League and Europa League. |

Just one - the Portuguese League, on a par with France, Italy and Holland and has three genuine contenders.
Because the way the scoring works, If just one person failed to reply I wouldn't be able to include it in the scores so I think I'll stick with the above and add others next season. |

Any more entries? only two so far and the deadline is Saturday.
Might have to extend the deadline or not bother with the comp at all

not picking Hull then Darren?!
![]() going better than I thought! didn't think it'd be worth going ahead with it but now have 10 entries! you guys think I should extend the deadline to the 8th? more people will be around then because of the Premier League starting. The only leagues starting this weekend is the SPL and Dutch Eredivisie. We've all gone Celtic to win SPL anyway and as for the Dutch, its not really an advantage seeing the first results before deciding who you think will win. Or I can just leave it the same as it is, what do you guys think? |

So it turns out the Dutch league doesn't start tomorrow as I thought. So the only league that starts tomorrow now (from the list anyway) is the SPL and has we have all gone for Celtic to win it, it makes sense to extend the deadline to next weekend.
