I can’t stand The Wall either.

I think it’s a dreary, dark, oppressive, depressing album – music to commit suicide to IMO.

Agreed. I love DSOTM and bought The Wall cd on the strength of that but hate it and never play it.

I can't stand The Best and it's Tina Turner's most played song on UK radio and one of her best-known. She has far better songs. Why don't they play them?

I can't stand that and What's love got to do with it ether. I love Tina she has a great voice but her 80's comback and all the mid 80's songs she had hit's with just leave me cold.

Tina Turner sings like a drunken granny doing karaoke at a wedding reception. Fortunately she appears to have retired but "Simply The Best" still remains one of the worst songs and one of the worst vocal performances of all time.

And me. Boring old kack.

I'd like to add

Shout
Stand by me
Angel
Money for nothing
Ferry cross the Mersey
How do you do what you do to me

In fact, most of the kack played on smooth, capital gold and heart and free radio.

There's are literally millions of great tracks out there and we get the same shite ad nauseam.

I rarely put the radio on now and when I do you can more of less guarantee within 3 minutes it'll be a kack song.

I think this is one of Michael Jackson's worst songs too. Though I like She's Out of My Life, One Day in Your Life and Dirty Diana even less.

Not a fan of You Are Not Alone or Heal the World from him, mawkish shite

At least Earth Song was powerful and moving.

More votes here for Bohemian Rhapsody and Hey Jude, particularly the latter.

Music appreciation is all down to personal perception. We're never all going to like the same tunes.
My personal disliked is poor performances, either the playing of instruments or the vocals, whatever the tune.
Some singers I consider are atrocious on occasions, but it's pointless giving specific examples as some are bound to think they are great.

All right then. This is an extreme example. She couldn't even remember the lyrics.

This seems to have become a "here's a list of mediocre crappy pop songs I don't like" thread.
I thought this thread was supposed to be about "classic" songs we can't stand.
i.e. songs which are held up in great esteem by other people, not just any old off-the-conveyer-belt shite that you don't like because you're cool and you've got some musical integrity and taste, and god forbid anyone might think otherwise about you.

I refute that. I chose David Bowie's "Heroes" as my choice, and you can't find many more celebrated "classics" than that. I think it's a horrible recording and not much of a tune, with only Robert Fripp's guitar line going for it IMHO.

Any song that gets played a lot tends to become a classic of some description. Therefore if people say "I don't like anything by ABBA" or "anything by Queen" that seems fair enough, since those kind of acts are so big and ubiquitous a whole load of their songs have become regarded as classics.

Not sure it is considered a classic, but:-

Perfect by Fairground Attraction.

Jesus. What a ****ing atrocity. I had mercifully forgotten this piece of shite for two decades. IT'S GOT TO BEE-EEE-EEE-EEE-EEE PER-FECT...Little Miss Parasol prancing around the gondola with her wimp-shit bandmates. Too bad the boat didn't hit a mine. I'd like to wallop her right on the pointy chin with a ****ing coal shovel. Most obnoxious song ever.
