"The Hills" is a fictional soap opera set in the rural village of Meadowfield. The Hills follows the residents of Meadowfield as they go about their day to day lives.

I aim to make The Hills a mix of all four main soaps; the grittiness of EastEnders, the every-day life stories like Coronation Street, the dramatic stories like Hollyoaks and the rural feeling that Emmerdale provides.

In my head, The Hills has been running on the fictional channel DTV since 1979, as a rival for Coronation Street and Emmerdale. I am going to start a week on Monday, and will upload brief synopsis of 1979 - present in the coming week. The CURRENT cast will be uploaded tomorrow, as will a list of locations.

The Hills is a rural soap opera, set in the fictional village or Meadowfield. Meadowfield is somewhere in the English countryside.

The Hills has been broadcast of DTV since 19th December 1979, and was created as a rival for Coronation Street and Emmerdale, which were the two major soaps at the time.

The Hills uses many characters from many backgrounds, which helps as where in the countryside it is not really stated.

A synopsis of each year will be posted soon, and the first episode will be set on whatever day I finish, however I aim for it to be Monday 20th July 2015.
