If there were unanimity, and general acceptance, there would be no discussion. Nor any point in one.

In any case, no, I disagree re your conclusion, either way. Even if he said "What does genuine mean?" it would still be a reasonable query in the context of being asked to name the 'least genuine' HM, since 'genuine' is subjective, open to interpretation and inevitably influenced by who a HM likes and dislikes.”

In terms of the semantics in that question , i don't think so but i can still see your point and respect the way you see it.

Again, whatever helps you sleep better at night.

The hypothetical question needed participation and slice of effort to really consider and answer the question, unfortunately you weren't willing to even entertain the question. Veri, even though she/he strongly disagreed with me, at least took the time to attempt to answer it whilst outlining the issues she/he had with the question.

This back and forth is getting slightly old and stale. Let's agree to disagree, stop wasting each other's time and energy.

Yes, this makes perfect sense. Some personality subsets are probably more attracted to going through a long haul to be a HM, whether that's by what we might think of as the 'traditional' route, or by sucking up to / hanging with the right Zelebs in the hope of getting on to BB.
So you get the 'anal' types - and I mean that most sincerely folks - probably Joel, Jack and even Nick fall into this; then there are the D for dunce Dannies who see "fame" as a 'career' choice.
Either way, they are all very focused on their own little selfish planet and will blank anything such as general knowledge that does not appear to have an immediate benefit.
Only the 'anals' with natural intelligence or perhaps determined prep/ boarding school masters pick up anything else along the way.

This may be an unpopular and controversial opinion but in 13 years since Jade Goody was on BB, I think society has gone nuts and over board in over-diagnosing folks.

If someone seems like they have some defect in their behaviour or learning and knowledge skills people are quick to throw a label on it. I also think it's the protection that disorders provide, with a disorder you're no longer entirely accountable for your actions or inaction and there's less pressure and no condemnation to improve yourself. I'm not saying that this disorder don't exist but I do think a number of people are falsely jumping on the bandwagon to excuse their shortcomings.

Easy done, stop claiming I am raging against a tide of fact as opposed to opinion and all will be well.

Loosely translated, "you refuse to agree with me, and I don't like it".
