Ooh good - that's another channel to delete from the programme guide.

While I probably won't watch anything on it, at least it's not yet another shopping channel!

Yes that has to be a good thing that it is a another channel and in fairness some of the content looks watchable if nothing else is on.

I wonder if any of their other channels could come like extreme sports channel as noticed they must own that channel?

Also will it be on com8? Appears plenty of room exists on there for channels.

Null packets have been increased recently on SDN and ArqA (COM4 and COM5). I presume it would launch on one of those (probably SDN to be with CBS Reality).

And of course there'll be a slot on SDN or ARQB if ITV moves something to D3&4 as per recent test activity as reported on here.

Given the recent addition of a 15th stream to ARQB for BT Showcase, similar spacemaking on the other multiplexes is presumably plausible...

And if it's plausible then it's also inevitable...

Like CBS Action I will watch some of CBS Drama but will not watch it all the time.
I looked forward to when the Horror channel came to Freeview but I have really not watch much of the channel since it came to Freeview.
Anyone got any idea when CBS Drama maybe starting on Freeview.

CBS Drama is a channel that's actually worth having and, unlike the tat shopping channels, it will be a useful addition to the Freeview channel line up.

Yes, it's got yet even more episodes of Judge Judy and Jerry Springer.

It has Dallas, so I'll be pleased when it arrives

Well I suspect it's a few weeks away at least as the PR department will surly want to create a bit of hype before launch.

Well the CBS channel has been free on Freesat along with Horror & +1 , Action & Reality and on Sky and even on TT youview too.

The channels from CBS do give some great shows & films that are better then all the soaps, chat, game shows and repeats on BBC ITV CH4 & CH5 ...

Digital TV is about choice of viewing and more channels that can be on Freeview the better of the public in giving a choice, but I would add that OFCOM should make sure that channels are in English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish only as space is still not there to allow other languages, but for Internet linked channels.

Perhaps, although Irish Gaelic has far more speakers in the Republic than in the north, so to refer to it as "Northern Irish" is odd.

True but I can imagine a lot of republican Irish people in northern Ireland would be speaking it, whereas those with English, Scottish or Welsh ancestry somewhere I expect won't ( I'm guessing they would be the Ulster people).
So yes what you say does make sense, less would speak it in northern Ireland.

Presumably since Jewellery Maker has appeared on LCN76, LCN75 has been earmarked for CBS Drama.

Looking at the CBS Drama schedule I would guess this channel is starting on Freeview on 1st September

If so, then another retune a week after the ITV one.
clewsy

If they had any sense they would get the channel placeholder there for the retune of ITV ...simply because its when most people will do a retune.

I suspect some will discover channels they never knew were on Freeview after this event.
