I think he might be.
How he seems to think about Danny may not be how he really feels about him.
He's experienced enough shit off Danny recently I doubt that he wouldn't notice it.
He may have seen how it's gone down when other people have stood up to Danny and thought he would be on a hiding to nothing if he tried the same.
I think Cristian just tries to avoid conflict with Danny and allows Danny to think he's right because he feels that getting into an argument will only serve to make Cristian look bad.
He's seen Danny get away with all sorts, and seen how it could work against him if others in there take Danny's side, which they probably would as they think of him as being in charge. He's also 10 years older than Cristian which may make Cristian feel as if he's at a disadvantage.
Obviously Cristian is equally at fault for putting Danny on the pedestal he's on in the house right now, he along with the others are culpable for creating the monster called Danny. But Cristian can only play things the way that the current situation allows.
