In fairness, a lot of the clothes Jack has worn don't fit him well at all, his buttons are often popping open when he sits down in a shirt and I have lost count of the times we have seen his buttcrack when bending.

Some context please. Jack was talking about clothes for final night, presumably Chloe was just giving him advice so he would look better. The shirt he usually wears, the blue one with a white collar is a very poor fit.

The fact that Chloe might be, as you so gracefully state, a chunky mare actually may mean she is talking from experience. Maybe she is the kind of girl who would prefer to be comfortable and smart in av14 than looking like mutton dressed as lamb trying to squeeze into a 12.
