I don't think that the housemates are necessarily boring, I think it's the production. I feel sure that the housemates will be having many interactions that don't fit the producers 'story' and we are therefore not privy to them.

When live feed was available 24/7 I would sit for hours mesmerised by the machinations of the very ordinary folk selected as housemates. Almost all human beings are fascinating when left to their own devices.

Does anyone actually care about these finalists? They need to seriously think about the selection of housemates next year

Says something vital (take note BB) when the threads are reduced to discussing the ins and outs of the DS site rather that the actual boring housemates .

There were good housemates but they are all gone

Found one & it works....I searched for Adblock when the ads first started & thought the Adblock Pro sounded better so installed it & it was that one that didn't work. Interestingly enough, it is no longer in the chrome store. Anyway installed Adblock & all working find although I only really come on here for BB which is almost over now

The HMs were fine - I'd argue all day long that 4 in 4 out and then the legends didn't let us get to know them at all, and some of the better characters were voted out early, so we're left with the likes of Wallpaper Danny and BMW 'I'm so poor' Chloe.

The current housemates would all stab each other in the back if they had the opportunity as they are all desperate to win it. Cristian is the most normal out of them all I'd say. He made the mistake of changing for Marc's benefit when he was in the house otherwise he has been the same throughout. Harry & Sam were my favorites as they remained the same throughout their time in the house whether you think they were whacky, quiet or whatever. Every one of these have changed when the money was introduced. They are all kissing each others asses, cracking on they are all best of mates so much so it really makes it a huge cringe to watch.

These people have lived with each other 24/7 for weeks now, yet we've seen very little conversation, interaction, getting to know each other and their lives, although we know it must go on and they must all know each other very well indeed with all the time they have.

It's just a shame that we get to see increasingl less of that each year.

I think after the fridays double eviction (that was fixed again by BB) giving the choice to the hms a lot more people have just lost the will to bother anymore.

That's certainly my reasons I have been sickened by it all.

No one cares about producer interference

All people want is an entertaining show with drama and characters ... The viewing figures show 4in 4out, timewarp, hotel BB, etc all boosted viewing figures and got people talking again

Now we're back to plain old BB (with dull housemates who don't get voted out with the stupid vote system they've gone back to) and no one cares

It actually didn't boost viewing figures

Because all the decent housemates have been evicted. Normally a few make it through to the final. Nothing much to say other than argue about which of the finalists is least awful.

Agreed. It's hard to get passionate about housemates when you mostly feel meh about them.

On average, 1.1 million viewers have tuned in nightly across the past 63 days with the final this Thursday night.

It makes BB 2015 the least watched run in the show’s history and the third yearly consecutive decline for viewing figures.

The current run is down on average 102,000 viewers on last year and 360,000 on the year before that.

There however have been some highs over the past ten weeks: Numbers hit 1.4 million for the Time Warp twist week involving Helen Wood, Brian Belo and Nikki Grahame.

But the show’s average was pulled down by its very slow start with numbers having been as low as 640,000 viewers in Week 2.

The controversial four in, four out twist ended up helping ratings in general but only slightly with an average of 100,000 more viewers in the weeks after compared to the shows before.

As for this final week it seems as though the series will end as it began, with a whimper rather than a bang.

I'm just twiddling my thumbs waiting for it all to be over and for celeb BB to begin. I have no idea who I even want to win at this point.

Yes it did.
Your thread saying last weeks ratings were the highest since week 2 is a load of rubbish as has been pointed out to you.
Why do you think they had the 4 in 4 out twist if week 2 was rating so highly
Week 2's ratings stank!!!
Then after the 4 in 4 out twist & with the time warp housemates etc the ratings started improving again more or less week after week up until Marc & Aisleyne's exit... since then the ratings have been back on the decline.

As for the OP's question why is this forum quieter... I think Tin Head & the other guy summed it up earlier on BOTS when they said none of them deserve to win really.
None of them who are left inspire any great emotion, it's just meh whatever
Marc leaving took away any sense of rivalry a final needs for it to be interesting.
Last year you had the passion of the Ashley fans vs the passion of the Helen fans.
Before that the Gina & Dexter fans vs the anti-Gina & Dexter vote (ie deaf boring Sam).
Katie Hopkins vs Katie Price... Gary Busey vs the rest... Rylan vs Spidey...
This final is a non-event nobody really cares about. Easily the worst since the Josie Gibson year.

Yep, you can see the Channel 5 viewing figures here
http://www.bbspy.co.uk/bb16/ratings/overnight

Week 2 averaged 950k (poor ... show cancellation territory)
By the BB hotel we're up to 1.22 million (back in profit)
This week we're back below in the 900k's

One thing you can't see is TV3 viewing figures ... This series has been the first on Ch5 to air in Ireland, where it's brought in an extra half million - unofficially, the week Aisleine arrived was the highest viewing figures (overall) since it's moved to Ch5 ... Actually a very successful series - just with a weak start and a weak finish

I haven't properly watched BB since BB10. It's like a morgue on here compared to those days. Not just final week but throughout. Shame, it used to be such a laugh on here even though a bit frustrating when by the time you'd finished posting on a thread it had already dropped to page 10

Hardly anything new to talk about without a certain something they will only let us watch for 30 minutes

All we have to go on these days is speculation as they only spoon feed information when they can be bothered and the completely "unbiased" 45 minute highlights of what they think we want to see in constant arguments and showmances every night

What's especially grating is when the 'can you guess who....' and 'find out on tomorrow's show...' tweets come through

Starting to really hate posting on here, it's like every thread I make people pounce on me like no man's business. Even I'm getting called names for starting multiple threads about someone who I like in the bbbots audience. Can't win on this site.

Honestly I don't expect to be judged this harshly the way I am.
