Cristian went to the front to watch/listen to Joel. Nick alternated between front and back of the living room area. When Chloe started bitching about Joel being odd, Nick stepped in and said something like "yes and I love him for it" and then everyone agreed they loved Joel. Nick had a spine and put a gentle stop to any anti-Joel talk! Joel shined and is a lovely singer. He is a winner imo! JOEL FTW. Next two are Nick and Cristian.
Joel & Nick made this series watchable to the end. I'm so glad at least those two are still left in the house Yeah, Danny seemed upset the entire night Obsessed with trying to be normal means that you are a conformist who fears anything that's a little different and outside of your comfort zone. 'Normal' can actually be elitist, exclusive, and sometimes very boring indeed. 'Odd' can be something which makes us individuals and can make life just a little bit more interesting and colourful. Good on Nick there.

He was embarrassing
He lacks a sense of humour and awareness of what's going on around him to see the others were bit disturbed - after ,,Chloe said he was 'odd' Says it all about Joel really , in his own world. If anyone was disturbed then they probably deserve to have been disturbed. Joel in his own world? Great, it's good that he's in his own world rather than conforming to the world according to Chloe and Danny. I wouldn't particularly fancy living in their shallow boring little world. |

Interesting. At least BB still has that fundamental aspect - we all see things differently.
I saw someone just doing their own thing regardless of how it might look to the public and inadvertently (or deliberately?) making everyone else look like boring uptight assholes. The obsession with 'how I'm coming across' has totally destroyed BB. It's just a nonsense now, let's be honest. So I applaud anyone who sticks two fingers up at the whole Z-list celeb thing and stubbornly tries to recreate what it was. This series the only ones are: Joel, Nick, Harry and maybe maybe at a pinch Jack. All the rest are just towie type brainless fecks. How embarrassing to see Joel singing and dancing badly to a really dated song by ABBA, a really dated group. It's very cringey. Great. I love it. ![]() ![]() If a housemate wants to do that then all power to them as far as I'm concerned. He doesn't care a bit whether he looks cool or up to date with modern viewers' tastes. That's why I think it's so good, and makes it a pleasure to see how some of the housemates don't really know what to do or how to react to it because they're too concerned with how things may or may not look to the viewer. |

It says more about Chloe than it says about Joel.

Joel only wakes up when BB put a tune on.
Anyone remember the party BB threw for the housemates when Marc and Sam had to do a task in another room? They didn't know what on earth to do, and were just cautiously jigging their shoulders up and down very awkwardly, like it was a school disco, or they were a TOTP studio audience literally being told to dance against their will, you could tell from the look on their faces that they weren't genuinely enjoying themselves, they were just going through the motions of appearing to enjoy themselves. Not the easiest of things to fake, and it showed. In fact I'd say that this series in particular, whenever BB have thrown one of their parties for them, this group of housemates have been the absolute worst from any series when it comes to letting their hair down and having that sort of fun. In all other series BB housemates have frequently looked to have enjoyed themselves in these silly party situations. Different story this year. I'm not saying that these sorts of parties should be everyone's cup of tea, but I think this series has demonstrated how 'samey' many of them are. |

He hadn't made an effort with any of the other HMs except Nick , and i think he found Marc interesting to talk to, and given the level of intelligence of the others he has nothing to learn from them , except perhaps Nick, who's far more mature than Joel in so many ways despite being same age.
If Joel had been on his own in the house he'd still have been the same. ![]() |
