I was amazed by Joel's complete and utter self-confidence and self-absorption as he sang the song, totally solo, not giving a **** if anyone else enjoyed it, hated it, or didn't care. The boy is a born performer and would never be troubled by stage fright.

Howevah! Since he's a born performer, how many of his other doings in the house have been performances for the cameras? Probably more than many people think!

Referring specifically to the Harry situation, I'm absolutely certain that he was deliberately goading her, with no intention of making her look good.

Whatever the editing, if Joel behaved in that way just once it's not nice. As to Harry wanting him to win after Nick, well clearly there is an editing issue but I can only base my opinion on the incidences I have viewed and it's not just Harry he has targetted with his careful questioning. We all know he think's he's going to be the next presenter of question time but he sometimes takes it too far.

I think Harry knows Joel is a good friend to Nick and she knows herself she has a foul temper and others have been on the end of it. We also saw Joel apologise to her for upsetting her and it shows that she respects him if she still would like to see him win if it wasn't Nick. I like the fact that Joel will call people out but doesn't hold a grudge and is friends with most people in the house. We could all learn a lot from Joel, just as Marc said in the house. You don't have to lose your temper but can sit down and discuss things. Which Joel taught Marc.

This is why Joel comes over as questioning people, but when have we seen Joel rant or tell people to shut up all the time like the foul tempered Danny! At least Joel is mature enough to talk things through and why he would be a great winner this year! I think some people on here think Joel's maturity is mistakenly replaced by arrogance and not being nice which is a big shame! I personally think he would make a good politician because he can see both sides of an argument. Exactly what we need in this country!

Absolutely agree he chooses his questions and pushes his point for maximum effect. He is picking them off one by one, he has heard the crowd's reaction to Harry and deliberately pushed the issue to get her to react and make herself look bad. He'll do it to the others.

This is good game playing though and had it been Marc doing this, I would have respected him because he'd have done it honestly, Joel targets people who think he's their friend which is why I use the word nasty to describe him.

I agree about Harry .

He'd never make the stage, he's too monotone and would bore the pants off anyone . ,

I don't agree, look at my above post and like somebody else mentioned why would Harry want Joel to win if Nick doesn't? That says it all. Joel is a good, decent lad, just mature and confidant above his years. A credit to his parents. Joel for the win!!!!!

"I'm absolutely certain that he was deliberately goading her, with no intention of making her look good."

But this definitely happened, we all saw it on Friday's highlight show which is worse if they are supposed to be mates.

The words "lovely young man" are not what I would describe Joel

He's sly and patronising. No where near as honest as he claims to be. Looks down on people. Made nasty remarks about Jade and called her lifestyle immortal, yet the silly cow is supporting him to win.

I don't see how he can be seen as a lovely young man at all.

Because those remarks were quite early on, Jade has lived with him so I think she has better judgement than any of us on here.

You don't like him that's fine, but you shouldn't begrudge others supporting him.

A. And it's match point to Joel as the crowd go crazy...

B. Team reality 0 - 1 Team Fakery

C. If you know how to fake sincerity you've got it made

D. Eastenders are taking an interest in Joel's acting ability

E. He's playing a good game.

Re BIB - neither do I?

It's funny how we all see things so very differently. All I have ever seen with Joel is a contrived, sneaky, sly, crafty, up himself, egotistical little shit. I may have missed something out - I expect I have - I can't really think of any positives TBH.

I know that's a bit nasty but ......................there you go

Well if Jade is supporting him to win and he said that, which I must admit I had similar thoughts of him way back then, then she also saw a good side to him and lived with him in the house as did Harry! So I don't think he's sly and patronising at all but a lovely young man and I'm sticking with that!

Joel for the win!

I think "sly and patronising" is a fair description, but I also get a feeling with Joel that everything's premeditated, and that he decides how he's going to play chosen situations as "scenes" starring himself.

And anyone who didn't think he was goading Harry.... well, I don't know what to say to you. It was like Act 90 Scene 18 "Joel makes Harry look bad, makes himself look good". Act 90 Scene 21 "Joel apologizes to Harry, makes himself look good".

A perfect example of the blind support that has been mentioned on the forum quite often this series.

The Winner Takes It All ( Joel version - apologies to Abba)

I can talk and talk
Even if the crowd boo
It doesn't bother me
I'm a Toryboy you see
I'm so good at the game
Exposing what they've done too
There's always more to say
And another ace to play

The winner takes it all
The losers' standing small
Beside my victory
That's their destiny

With Helen in the house
Brian couldn't cope there
So it made some sense
Jumping o'er the fence
While I felt quite at home
Knowing I'd be strong there
The rest of you are fools
I play by the rules

The public throw the dice
Their minds as cold as ice
And someone else in here
Gets kicked out (oh dear)
The winner takes it all
The loser has to fall
I'm gonna win it's plain
Why should I complain?

The public will decide
And they'll be on my side
Spectators of the show
Know who has to go
The game is on again
But this time it's the end
The rest are bound to fall
I just know I'll take it all

I always wanna talk
'Cos it makes them stumble
And I understand
They won't want to shake my hand
I won't apologize
Even if it makes them crumble
Seeing them so tense
No self-confidence
But you see
The winner takes it all
The winner takes it all...

We have been told by more than one HM that Harry kicked off around 3 times every day, and many a time had to go to the task room to calm down. Now, I don't know about you, but I'd get fed up with walking on egg shells around that sort of behaviour at some point, and I'd have a go back.

I agree. It was right up there with Alex Sibley's 'That's the way I like it' scene in BB3.

Not begrudging anyone. I was just thinking out loud.

I always see pros and cons in everything. Even in things I dislike. Sadlty the only Pros i could think of with Joel is his great taste in pop music.

Regardless of how she has acted on this occasion he wasn't having a go BACK, he was just goading her. There is a huge difference between standing up for yourself and deliberately harrassing someone and deliberately trying to make them lose their temper and then laughing about it. Do you seriously not see that?

Yes, you missed out the "he's a tory" bit (yawn)

You might think this but the housemates do not... if he is guilty of anything, it's asking too many questions but when has he ever stabbed someone in the back or used it to his advantage.. (or in a nasty manner)... if he is that bad - why is he getting 35-40% support on online polls?

BTW last night was pure class and upset the biased BB 50% coverage of Jack and his "tasks"...
