I see it from both sides. apple users called sheep, and android users called fandroid users!

Its all relative. No one side is worse than the other.
Is this what people think that we are Apple haters? I like Apple Computers, I have no interest in getting a Iphone, not because I hate it but because I think it is over priced and I do not like the OS.
I am also not a fandriod either, I do have a Android phone, because to be honest there was and still is not a lot of choice of OS and Android does what I need, which is really to make and receive calls, get emails, send and receive text, have a peek on facebook and that is about it.
I certainly have no interest in getting my phone out to pay for anything.

But we are not on about cards, when I had my contactless card it took a couple of seconds to use it, that is once the cashier realised that I was using contactless. A phone is different, too much to go wrong, battery die, having to change from one card to another if it is storing multiple cards, don't forget to make sure you put the phone away after and not drop it on a hard shop floor.
Well we are really since this has been your grip for years. You are now projecting it to phone payments.

Presumably you would change card before you went to the checkout. Also you would know if the battery was dead before you hit the checkout.

I was also one when i said i didn't like OSX and when i had a mac i ran windows on it!

Personally, no - it's perfectly fair not to like their stuff And not to like various payment methods either.

I was referring to my experiences elsewhere on other forums where people can get very directly anti Apple and direct attacks to their users calling them sheep, hipsters, showoffs etc (the link that was posted about someone buying coffee with their watch was an obvious parody of this). I wasn't intending to refer to anyone here or any of the concerns here, even though people have become really defensive and been jumping down my throat from all directions for mentioning it...
The discussion I had about their touchid was on a completely different site with a completely different (much more hostile) attitude between its users.

Even though I know fingerprint recognition isn't perfect and there's a possibility Apple could've gone for a sensor with heat detection and other added precautions I think sometimes the concerns are exaggerated to the nth degree (like that about your partner potentially getting themselves the kit necessary to hack your phone) and sure when it gets that exaggerated so much then depending how it's presented I tend to attribute it to OS holy war nonsense. And yes, it happens the other way around too. Personally I face the incoming scorn more often since most of my contacts are on the android side so that's the perspective I'd naturally share. I thought it was safe to vent about it here since folks seemed fairly calm and reasonable but obviously that was just a tiny bit of a mistake given all the earache I'm getting for it!

Where does the list of transactions appear, in Passbook or in your bank App? I used it earlier to purchase something on my watch but it doesn't show the transaction anywhere.

The most recent transaction shows in the Passbook app if you tap the picture of the card. A full list of transactions can be seen by going to Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay, then tapping on the card.

I guess that option only works on the iPhone cause it's not appearing on my watch settings.

OK thanks. I thought they would all be shown in the Passbook. Maybe that's in the next update.

But in the past you so many times said you would never use a contactless card? and yet here you are saying you use one (like you said you'd never use fibre broadband or have a TV license ) You'll get one of these new fangled Apple gizmo's in the future I'm sure lol

I am not that fond of the way the IPhone works, it is not a phone I would go for to be honest. Not because it is or is not Apple.
I like OSX, I still do not see the point in paying all that money for a Apple computer and sticking windows on it.

i chatted to someone a while back and he told me that Apple Finger print recognition is not that good, he left his Iphone on a his table, locked and a mate of his had got into it, i do not know how, but he did.

i do not care how people pay as long as it do not hold me up.

Easier to miss your pocket if you are in a bit of a rush trying to juggle putting your shopping in a bag and juggling your phone, certainly if you are using a self scan

If you notice, I put when I had a contactless card, i now don't process one, my bank have after a lot of mucking about gave me a non-contactless one. i admit, while i had it I did try it a couple of times.
I never ever said I would not use fibre, I have said that I prefer not to and as for a Tv licence again I never said I would never get a Tv licence, i always said things may change.
As for getting a Iphone, nah, not for me, my Nexus 4 does what I want and is costing me just over a tenner a month to keep going, so why would I get a Iphone that could me about £40 a month or more?

I may get a Mac at some point, but don't hold your breath.

I really think you're reaching with this one. I've used it twice now at the self-scan in Boots. I used my phone, popped it back in my pocket, picked up my bag and off I went. But perhaps I should use it only in carpeted areas from now on.

I have Windows on my second MacBook (it dual boots Windows and Mac OS/X) but that is because I have to do a lot of Windows support in my line of work. But undeniably my OS of choice is OS X for a whole number of functionality reasons (rather than any aesthetics or cosmetics). I'm really curious how someone could actually "hate" OS X, please tell me more. And if I wanted a machine that was Windows only I'd undoubtedly buy a cheaper MacBook look-alike anyway.

Why are you curious? It's not hard to accept that someone doesn't like something is it? Or are we going back to the old 'its impossible to dislike something apple make' nonsense?

I didnt like the way it looks, nor do I like the way it works. Just that simple really.

I have seen a lot of phones with smashed screens, it does make me wonder how people do it mind you, my phone is 4 years old or something like that and is still in one piece.

Now i said I will drop it tomorrow and smash it

Not sure if I really want to take a phone out to pay to be honest, and for a lot of people they take their wallets out anyway to use loyalty cards, so you are taking two things out of your pocket.

Apple pay may do well, it may fail as people may think it is just a gimmick and i am sure Apple is getting something out of this.

Does Apple Pay work when the phone is in a case or do you have to remove it?

I wouldn't see why you would have to, you can normally hold a card slightly above the reader and it still works, the case isn't going to add more than 1-2mm.
