Well to me anyway.
There is just something about his combination of traits that really sets my teeth on edge every time he is on screen.
He is right up there with my most disliked housemates ever, yet on the surface seems not to deserve this.
I think it is just the combination of his character traits. He is utterly stupid for one.
I dislike this because he just can't be bothered to work to educate himself. No reason why he can't, he just can't be arsed. He exudes this sense of entitlement, as if his looks should get him everything he wants with no hard work.
This lack of education shows in his inarticulate responses, 'shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!.
He is by far and away the most aggressive in there but tries to paint himself as the voice of reason and fair play.
His whole persona seems an act to me. He just comes across as fake from his 'father of the house' position, but combined with his remarks that are intended to undermine the positions of other housemates.
The business with the spelling of 'canoe' where his true character managed to emerge for a second, he didn't like to be shown as less than 'the man' and the underlying aggression peeked through. Then he combined this when asked again by BB to spell it and having been told many times how to do it he pretended he might be in difficulties for the sake of drama.
A man of no depth, no principles and a sense of entitlement. Yuk!
Anyone else feel the same?
Maggie
