Presumably, the British rights should be the same as all other human's rights.
It's just a Little Englander reaction, imo.

None of us are in a position to judge this situation as none of us know - or will ever know - the whole story. Even if we did, who are we?

I just think it's particularly cruel of BB to attempt to shame Cristian like this. He's only just 20 and has signed up for a TV show - not to have his (likely teenage) past dragged up. It seems like a deliberate attempt to humiliate him.

I'm not entirely convinced by the comparisons between this situation and Danny and Marc's abusive tweets. If there was just a couple of tweets, maybe... but there are several and the language used surely reveals something about their character.

That said, and call me a hypocrite if you like, but I'm not comfortable at all when BB bring up what HMs have done outside the house - particularly when only a few of them are targeted. I don't recall any mention of Marc's behaviour outside the house.

When people go on TV or do anything public that opens themselves up to the world, they really should expect this sorta garbage to come out.

I get that but it just makes Ch5 look ever more grisly and as has been said, it's not even a balanced 'showing-up' of HMs which makes it more dubious yet. Such an unpleasant feel to the show now, far too keen on the humiliation side. A bit of borderline is one thing, they are just descending into nasty-taste grimness now. Ugh.

its all necessary you need to know who you're potentially voting for to win this show. i would probably argue so far none of them are winners. all awful people inside and out

I don't fully understand it but I think the key is the High Court (or Court of Appeal) will have the final say on matters in this country rather than the European Court of Human Rights. I think the rest will stay much the same.

And itīs still going on

4.54pm: The housemates are being told some home truths as part of today's Task... #BBUKLive

Seems like BB wants every task to be nasty no matter what. I wonder if they will pick on the same 2 housemates again. Dragging them through the mud even more.

Yes but it's one thing for us to be told stuff (and even then it's far too open to being twisted/slanted/blown out of proportion), it's another to keep revealing things to the HMs, not least because they can't get any further context. You might say it would be handy for them to know background in there so as to inform who they nom; but as they've always got by without inside info before, I'd rather they did so now.

I'm sure they'll play it in the house under the guise of being a task or something just to further humiliate Cristian

So Cristian wanted to leave his girlfriend, and for some reason resorted to blackmail, threatening to reveal their sex tape to her parents? And people think that Big Brother is the one in the wrong? Am I missing something?

Thanks, I missed that while composing so to speak. I'm not necessarily defending or otherwise any of the dug-up bits of HM info, but youthful stupid behaviour and the BB side of it are horses of a rather different colour.

I would be embarrassed to work on the BB production team. Unless it's staffed by seriously mean spirited folk and I am not for one minute suggesting it is,,,heaven forbid...

It must be hell to go to work to produce a programme that is so unendingly negative and sets out to humiliate. I'd find it dreadful.

It's very distasteful IMO.”

I thought this might happen when they exposed Danny's tweets, who will be next I wonder?

Cristian does not sound like a very nice young man now does he? Ladies beware.

They have already humiliated Danny to be fair.

I personally think this is BB going too far, you don't exploit a housemates past for entertainment.

It just comes across really cheap.

I agree, the Tweets and the personal story regarding an ex are completely unbalanced.

Maybe the hms shouldn't pretend to be holier than thou, it really does make them look so stupid, especially Cristian who continually called Jade a 'bed hopper' and was partly responsible for her eviction and some called him 'sweet and innocent'LOL.

Cheap, that's the word I was after. I just want to go back to when HMs had to stand on a podium when the music played in the middle of the night, argue over who stopped the pedalo going, & fell out over how many cigarettes to get out of the 'shop'n budget'. And bring back the blackboard. #luddite

You are missing the facts and the full story. We all are.

Thank you.......................... There's nothing like a bit of context. If Dannys tweets are far game then there you go. However, if nothing is mentioned of baggy faced Chloe's antics then there is definitely something wrong.

But is the thrust of it that Cristian blackmailed someone, but BB is the one in the wrong for revealing it? I'm not sure why anyone would wish to defend Cristian on this.

If he did do that then shame on him. While I don't like how sleazy big brother has gone, what does he expect if the others are receiving similar treatment.

I'm not sure what you're thanking me for. I'm as confused as anyone else.
