Doing all my holiday prep and discovered that this year EE has introduced a 7-day cut off for any roaming data bundles.

Just thought I would post this so people are aware and don't buy a large bundle only to see it evaporate after 7 days - even with data left on it.

It's to "save costs" apparently

Didn't the older EE plans used to have cut price roaming data rates ?

They've scrapped that as well.

Sadly the ONLY network worth its salt in my eyes for roaming is Vodafone now.

Would rather pay the 3 quid a day and get unlimited everything practically with no throttling and no crap.

It's not unlimited though. It's your UK allowance.

I'm still on the legacy EU/EEA/US/OZ inclusive calls/SMS roaming deal taken out in Sept 2013 (I renewed last month, to keep it for another 2 years, as the newer version is EU/EEA only, and caps the calls at 180 mins/month.

Can someone clarify, (with a link to EE's T+C's) how this is affected for me

I currently pay 2 Quid/100 Megs/24 hrs when roaming in the EU. (Last time I did that, was a month ago)

If you're on the legacy "4GEE Extra" plan still then you're not affected. If you're now on "EE Extra" then you're on a newer plan that's affected.

Best to check MyEE.
