EE: So who dya think the new lead is.... ?
Noush

Knowing DTC, I wouldn't be surprised if the witness was Lady Di the dog!!!!!

Jokes aside....who/what do you think it is???? Did someone see through the window or hear it on her phone??? Or did someone else see the Max/Lucy scuffle, plus the cctv footage disappearing and the blood in the car lot??? Looks like poor Maxy goes down.

Spoiler
Especially since someone gets arrested next week and Jake Wood is leaving for a year....?

Max being arrested for the murder seems far too predictable and uninteresting to me.

I wonder if the recent issues with Cindy have been the catalyst for the lead, someone like Carol say who overheard some of Ian's conversation with Cindy.

New lead ?? Lola ? Abi? Ben.

Yeah you might be right Scrab....that Carol is well nosey but she didn't really hear anything except "if you want to go to the police".......

Who else could it be apart from Max?

The other people leaving as far as I know are :

Carol
Lola
Liam

Why does it have to be someone who is leaving?

Lol...I do t even know...I thought I read someone goes down for the murder and I can't see it being Ian, Jane or Bobby but you're right, not necessarily someone who is going.

The police wouldn't dare try and take Bobby down. He'd laugh in their faces, and tell Jane that they are going to need a bigger car to transport DCI Marsbar, DI Twentyfags, and DS Malachy's lifeless corpses to the common.

As the taxi driver who drove Jake Stone is in next week's credits I presume it's him and he's remembered something. I suspect it will have to do with Ben as he was in the flat that night so it could be him that gets arrested as that will cause all sorts of problems for Ian , Ben being his half-brother. Also Phil's solicitor is credited in a number of episodes which suggests a Mitchell.

With Ben and Jay burying her purse and phone etc, I guess it could be one of them but in the bigger picture and further down the line, surely Jane has to suffer the consequences of her actions. I'm actually disgusted she's got away with it thus far!

Most of the time, every character has a comeuppance somewhere down the line when they've committed a crime (except Janine and Ronnie )

I also believe it doesn't necessarily mean it's somebody that is leaving that will get arrested or go down for it, however, I reckon that Max will be the first arrest but let to go when there is no evidence. I reckon next could be Ben, with him being closely connected to Ian being his brother and also myself hearing that the Mitchell family solicitor going to be in quite a few upcoming episodes. It doesn't mean that either will go down for it but after all with Ben being in prison before, having a violent past and closely connected to Ian, I'm sure he's someone that the police would like to speak to and probably would in real life too, even if someone just to quickly get out of the picture , as they often do investigate people in the area or that are closely connected to the victim; with a similar crime history to the case under their belt

Phil. I have no idea what evidence anyone could have that points to him but...

Marsden (the police woman who has been desperate to pin something on Phil for years) and Ritchie Scott (Mitchell family solicitor) are both back for this part of the storyline. That can't just be a coincidence, can it?
