I have a Bush 1488T Tv and I cannot get my sky remote to accept any Bush codes to control the set. Has anyone managed to get their 1488t working from a sky remote? If so with what code? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have tried all the published codes.

do you know what version remote you have? on the back under the battery compartment there is a sticker which will say either rev4, rev6 or none which will mean rev 3 or below.

i have a bush 1438 tv which will only work with rev6, rev4 does work it but the volume buttons are the wrong way round

you might not be able to work the tv with it as the tv is a new model and the remote is older.

you could try going through all the codes

on the remote do the following whilst pointing the remote at the tv : -
press tv
hold select and red until led flashes twice
press tv
press standby
keep pressing tv then standly and if the tv switches off press select to store the code.

if that doesnt work then the only other thing to do is get a new rev 6 remote which may work it

Try Beko codes as that model uses a Beko chassis.

Thanks for this info - I have a Bush 1490TSIL and had worked through all the codes listed on this site plus many others that Sky provided but to no avail. I have a rev 4 and had resigned myself to buying a new rev 6 until I decided to follow your suggestion. Patiently clicking tv and standby has rewarded me with the desired result. The reverse lookup to determine what the code was didn't work though so I don't know what it is in order to share this info with others.

Finally got it via a Beko code search - 074 does the trick nicely without the need for a rev 6 remote. Phew!
