Hottest supermarket sprinkle on salt/pepper?

Looking to add some "flamin hot" heat to regular cheese Cheetos. Was thinking that Paprika might do the trick but does anyone have anything else that I could get from a Co-Op, Tesco or Waitrose that would do the job? The HOTTER the better.

Paprika straight to the mouth isn't particularly pleasant, nor would chilli powder be.
It's best added to cooked food.
You'd be better off with a dip.

Ghost chili powder. Or habanero. If you want flaming hot, that's your ticket. Cayenne would be less incendiary. Paprika adds colour and a sort of smokey warmth, but no heat.

I don't think it would be too tasty as advised above me.

You could make a cheesey Mexican dish with Cheetos on the top at the end of the cooking.

Or put a lot of hot things into a food processor and blitz and taste.

Youtube has recipes to make your own Cheetos so you could make flaming hot ones.

I can't see it being too appetising to add extra salt to crisps. There's no reason why it would stick and not just all fall to the bottom of the bag.

Maybe you should try buying hot crisps in the first place.

Yeah.......That's no help is it? The original question was clear.

It's not one of the supermarkets you listed but my local asda does sprinkle flavours for flavouring your own popcorn and they have a chili and lime one. Might be better than straight out spices.

Maybe check if tesco etc have an equivalent?

Why is it no help?
You want to make a mild snack "the HOTTER the better".
So buy a very hot snack.
It's more sensible than your idea of eating paprika powder.

Jesus wept - I've already bought the bloody Cheetos! I simply want to spice them up.

Why do some people insist on complicating a simple question?

Why do dome people come on here, ask for suggestions, then respond aggressively to anyone bothering to reply?

Go with your original idea of eating dry paprika powder.
It sounds a great idea.
Good luck.

By far the best idea is to buy some "Who Dares Burns" chilli sauce and just tip a little of it into the bag before shaking it up to coat the contents evenly. About a teaspoonful will probably be sufficient.

You can get (although possibly not legally) "defensive sprays" made from capsaicin, which is the active ingredient of chillies. So get one of those, spray your Cheetos, leave them to dry and enjoy!

(I am not a food scientist, doctor or biochemist, and I take no responsibility for injury or death caused by following the above nonsensical advice).

You won't get anything hot from a supermarket. Being a proper chillihead i know this for a fact!! Your best bet is to buy some Carolina Reaper powder and sprinkle into the packet. Its currently the worlds hottest chilli pepper and is ferocious! Go to Hotheadz.com or chillibugs.com, best websites for buying hot stuff!!!
