Just randomly wondering here, but is it something that anyone has had done or does anyone know of any decent places to get it done that aren't Apple ?

The reason I ask is that I got my 5s from eBay and the main problem i'd have getting anything done by Apple is that the screen is non-standard. It's perfectly fine and looks almost brand new, but Apple won't touch it - not that I could afford Apple's pricing anyway!

The front half of the housing on the phone is near-pristine, but the back plate is marked up with 2 obvious 'lumps', if you will, visible and also it's slightly warped as it doesn't sit flush on a flat surface.

I've actually managed to find a picture i took of it here ..

My thinking is that if i could get a new replacement housing fitted, I'd pretty much have an "A" grade second hand 5s. I've seen the videos about doing it yourself but I wouldn't want to risk it personally, so if anyone knows of any decent or reasonably reputable repair places that might do the job for me i'd certainly be interested - thanks

Thanks for those. Probably in the price range i was expecting I suppose, but then i've been told elsewhere i shouldn't really be looking to pay more than around £50 quid.

At the cheaper end you'll end up with a cheap Chinese housing of dubious quality that looks crap in a few months.

I appreciate that and it's certainly not something i'd want. There are a few local repair shops to me so i'll probably ask around as well.
