The twins were 6 when she died.

Peter visited the street in 1978 when he was 13, (though for some reason he was said to be 15 cos he was about to leave school!) If memory serves, from watching Granada Plus, he was a redhead with freckles and a very thick scottish accent!

When he returned in 1986 for his and Susan's 21st, he was played by David Lonsdale (David from Heartbeat). Dark and very English speaking, lol
Likewise a previous Susan from 1981 was Scottish, When she returned in 1986 - and later married Mike - she was blonde and English.

The Susan who returned last was very dark. The changing faces of the twins was always entertaining!

Yes, when the twins returned for their 21st in 1986.

If I remember correctly, that guy is now a fashion designer in the States in real life.

Peter have a twin sister Susan who died in car accident 2001, she have a son Adam Barlow and his father is Mike Baldwin.

William Roache's other son James who play James Cunningham, also is on screen son of his brother Linus's character "Lawrence"

I guess it's the 1970s equivalent of Bethany not having an Italian accent: If Peter and Susan lived in North England until they were 6, they likely would have English accents or be able to switch between the two.

I think the main reason for the ever changing accents was that when they were recast as children for guest appearances they felt they'd have acquired Scottish accents - which was fair enough. But when they reintroduced Susan as a main character in 86 they decided to cast one of the actresses that had played her when she was a baby who still had her English accent as obviously she hadn't been brought up in Scotland and yes, they probably felt it would be stretching her too much to fake a Scottish accent day in, day out. Having decided Susan be English again, there was no reason to keep Peter Scottish for his guest appearance, indeed it would have highlighted the fact that Susan no longer was when logically they'd be the same.

The last Susan looked believable as Chris Gascoyne's sister but nothing like the last Susan who was very fair, both in skin tone and hair. I think she had blue eyes too. Still, no reason fraternal twins can't have different coloured eyes to each other any more than any other full siblings.

As hilariously observed in this brilliant spoof sketch by and starring Victoria Wood.

I do,'t think Peter looks any nationality other than Anglo Saxon, he just has a skin that tans easily. Lots of white people do.”

Peter does have dark blood-shot eyes though.

Oh right, now I know her! She's not mixed race though.
