We obviously have the postman problem but other things are in this new house, if someone visits next door she gets very hyper and thinks they are coming to see us and she runs to the door then runs to you and you need to calm her down to let her see no one is coming to our house. If a strange person is in the house she is not used to she gets quite nervous around them. I can't explain the jumping over the fence thing in the front garden but I know when I'm outside and there's people approaching our gate or a car stops for the next door neighbours, one at one side of us gets taxis often for instance i'll need to shout her in. A lot of people tend to put their hand over to pet her and say hello and she seems unsure but then again I'm not sure people should be doing that. I don't do it myself with other dogs but i do say hello to other dogs if i see them so i know there's no bad intentions involved.
It seems to stem around other people, whether it's a neighbour or random person walking by. She will bark but that is it. She does like being outside and she does go out and play, we've had the front door open for hours today so far and it's been fine.
It would be nice to have the postman come and give us mail without a lot barking and jumping from couch to couch and yelping.
It would be nice for people who don't visit us often to come and visit us without the barking.
As far as the random jumping over the fence, it's only happened 3 times. Sometimes I'll look and see her focused on something or someone. Like there is a cat a few gates down so she sometimes goes into the next garden and we try and get her back because you know what cats are like and they can take your eyes out so sometimes when i see that I need to break her concentration and try and get her mind on something else and play with the toys we have or talk to her. I will say she does listen to me but again it would be nice to have the front door open and not worry about neighbours coming out of taxis or anything like that.
