There will be booing, accompanied by loud shouts of "get blank out" by that moron in the audience. I really wish they didn't hear the crowd reaction so they didn't know how they were perceived, although I know he audience outside is no real indication of public opinion

Good one that's funny.

Unless you mean that they are voicing the opinion that they hate every HM without fail and have absolutely no interest in listening to even a word of what they have to say about their time on the show that presumably they have been watching for many weeks. If that's the case maybe there are other words that could be put before "people" to describe them.

I'm quite clearly out of touch with the popular opinion on here.

Such negativity.

I guess we get the show we deserve.

For making it to the final. As I said I really dislike Chloe and Jack but I still think they should be cheered for being finalists. Simple as that.

Good one - Really top point...

Unless you mean that they shouldn't voice their opinions of course? After all - It's THEIR opinion, not YOURS...Get it? You clap the morons while the rest of the audience boo, sigh or whatever - you see, that's how it works - not everyone has to follow your lead? People shouldn't be "banned" from expressing their opinion, even if it sucks like yours - Get it?

You clap. Everyone else boos. We all win...or lose.

BB has morphed into a modern day amphitheatre trading slaughter and blood letting for character assassination and humiliation.
The crowd are the product of the programme, it's a really nauseating state of affairs.

I would be more comfortable accepting your points if it wasn't a case of virtually all of the crowd being incessantly negative about every HM all of the time (including trying to drown out the interviews which is just bizarre).

I know there are sometimes other reactions in there but it is clear that for a good proportion they are long past even having an opinion. They just want to boo because they are robots following the program.

Incidentally I don't clap or boo as I am at home and that would be weird. I also have not suggested they be banned. I just think it is odd and adds nothing (in fact it takes away because the little of the interviews that can be heard are stunted due to the HMs being put off).

I wouldn't boo anybody, it's offensive and kinda passé these days. Unless there are performers/singers late for a show etc... (I suppose that's why it's called "panto")

I think clapping when a housemate leaves is a polite thing, even if you don't like them. As they have lasted 10 weeks in the show.

I agree to an extent - the reactions are generally negative or, at best, mixed, but really, what should we expect? The violated corpse that is channel Five's BB is almost specially designed to encourage the eminantly booable as contestants, and the way most of them behave in there for ten weeks only serves to strengthen their booability!

It is a gameshow. It has a varied audience - some like booing, some like cheering, some like both - therefore it is, i reckon, extremely hard for someone, anyone, to get an overwhelmingly or even noticeably positive send-off. The show attracts dingbats (contestants and audience - me included), and that is about the size of it.

I agree. Unless they have been particularly despicable they all deserve applause ..........even Joel xx

Yes I think we can certainly agree that the HMs that CH5 particularly have had are difficult to champion. The BIB does sum it up.
