Maybe they informed her she will be sacked a week or two back and allowed her to film her exit maybe a shock death situation which they may have wanted to stay secret?

It's also much less slanderous a suggestion than various other reasons she may have been sacked for!”
Oh ok, I wasn't aware there had been any issues of that kind previouly
And I'm not speculating or making any suggestions as to the reasons, slanderous or otherwise Just saying that, imo, it must have been something pretty major!
Wonder what it was. Seems really sudden. Stephanie Davis is a decent actress, but I can't say I'll miss Sinead. One of the characters Kirkwood has ruined beyond belief.
You don't get your contract terminated for nothing. She must have done something really serious. She's one of the longest-serving actors and has been front and centre of some prominent storylines. I do wonder whether we'll hear more about this story soon.
I can't help but think she's done something quite severe. I can't remember a press release to be so blunt in its wording. It's purely speculative but isn't her ex the guy who plays Freddie? I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Filming together, I imagine, would be frosty had it ended badly.
Also I think if it had been time-keeping then that would be stipulated in the statement to thwart any ambiguity or speculation. Previous actors have been axed for time-keeping before and it's always been disclosed in the statement.
It must be a big breach of contract for them to be able to terminate her's so quickly - ewp finally because she is a pretty long term character by HO standard!
Reckon there'll have to be quite a bit of rewrites if she's been axed with immediate effect. Especially as she's with Ste, has his daughter and he's meant to be starting an affair with Harry.
I think the actress must have done something wrong to be axed like this, with her contract being terminated. I think Stephanie is one of the strongest on the show and Sinead has links, so do think something has gone on
Would they have renewed her contract earlier this year if she was causing problems? (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s1...piCXs7SdHYZYGN) With the blunt press release and the sudden nature of it, it certainly looks like she did something severe?
I'm quite shocked and saddened by this as I enjoyed Sinead (when she wasn't being vile) and Steph is a great actress!
Sinead's departure might actually make the Ste/Harry thing easier - rather than writing a breakup and arguments between Ste and Sinead, she could just randomly leave the village with Hannah and Ste be unable to contact her. Then he'd be single again and at a low point where Harry could step in ...

That ended a while ago though - rumour has it that's why they had Sinead and Freddie break up. If it were anything like that, it seems strange for it to suddenly come up again after more than a year ...
It is a shame. I expect had she chosen to leave on her own terms, she would have gotten a good and possibly memorable exit. Now if it all happens off screen it may just boil down to a brief conversation between maybe Ste and one other character.
I can imagine seeing Ste sat at home, crying as Diane or Scott walks through the door. He then reveals that Sinead has left the village with Hannah after realising it wasn't working. It will be a crap exit regardless.
Wow! Very surprising. While I was annoyed with Sinead, Stephanie was a good actress. I feel bad for her being terminated so abruptly, but then again who knows what happened.
I don't like to rejoice in other people's misfortunes but I can't honestly say I will be sorry to see the back of her. I have always disliked Sinead, and I do not rate Stephanie Davis as an stress - extremely unnatural delivery. She belongs in the theatre, where bigger is better and there is no place for subtleties. I'm sure we all have our own theories about the reasons for her sacking, but it's probably wise not to state them here. I don't believe it's timekeeping, though.

Pretty much my thoughts, I've always found Stephanie Davis overrated as an actress
