I agree. I know it's natural for surrogates to feel a bond or connection with the baby they're carrying but it find it selfish and inconsiderate how is Esther is just going to refuse to hand over the baby considering how she knows how much Grace and Trevor have wanted a family and how much this means to them. She should have thought more carefully about the decision to become a surrogate of she knew she couldn't handle it.

Plus even if Esther had formed a bond with the baby, it's not like the minute she handed over the baby to Grace and Trevor she would never see it again. Esther and Grace were really good friends and Grace wouldn't have been the type of person to cut the baby completely out of Esther's life the minute she gave birth. You hear stories all the time about mothers and the surrogate still being apart of the baby's life as it grows up.

I hate the way soaps portray surrogacy's sometimes. Yes, the surrogates can bond and feel emotions with the baby. That's natural but I hate how when they give birth the surrogates are sometimes portrayed as selfish. Like they just think. 'I've given birth to this baby, I like it and I'm going to keep it.'

If TPTB had their heads screwed on they would know that there's much more future storyline potential for Trevor and Grace as a nice little family unit than there is Esther a (yet another) single mum who's baby we will never see as Frankie will always be looking after him!

I really hoped for simple, uncomplicated surrogacy storyline. Why they couldn't all stick to the agreement and be good friends ever after? True is, Her biological family wasn't nice to Esther, Frankie chose other people over her twice. Such wasted opportunity.

I think that's better. Labour only lasts around 5-10 minutes. No blood and body fluids. You don't have to deliver the placenta and there isn't an umbilical cord in sight You just have to spread your legs for a couple of minutes and do one push and the baby will just pop out

I agree Emma, I think soaps portray surrogacy in a very negative light!

Hollyoaks seems to have the attitude that "blood" parents are the only parents who matter - adoptive parents are just glorified babysitters. You can see this in how quickly Peri forgot about Danny and Sam, or how Sienna just assumed that she'd be able to walk right into her daughter's life and pick up like they'd never been apart (which is exactly what happened.) I don't even think Dirk has got to formally adopt Hilton yet? despite the fact he's a great dad to Hilton and Browning is dead anyway ...

Anna Passey looked blooming gorgeous. I don't blame NotDoc for falling for her.

Anna really is dazzlingly beautiful, and a better actress than Hollyoaks deserves.
