Lesley Crawford is a friend of a friend. I remember talking to my friend about Hollyoaks and she was so p****d off by Lesley's treatment she refused to watch it. That was a long time ago though. There are only 2 or 3 remaining cast members from that time and I'm sure the crew and behind the scenes team has changed significantly too.

No it hasn't. Just two or three years back the cast seemed to all get on famously with each other (the Brady/teen group era) and a lot of couples even formed. For years before that the atmosphere appeared to be good too but I remember in particular a lot of the young stars, like Lucy Dixon and Laurie Duncan etc. saying how the older cast had been telling them that this was the best atmosphere they'd ever had on HO and how it was so nice that everyone was really close. You could see it in their social media presence too.
Since Hollyoaks has become so bad in the last couple of years, I no longer follow what the cast do. I really don't care enough about any of the characters to care about who plays them so I can't comment on now. But it is unfair to suggest Hollyoaks has always been a bitchy set when that is not the case.

I loathe him.
He must be a fairly decent actor though, as i like John Paul!”
I don't think its necessary to comment on James' appearance. There's nothing wrong with the way he looks.
However, he is a prick. I followed him on twitter a while back and he's so unpleasant. I found him to be completely sexist as well. He was constantly calling women derogatory names. Lets not forget about the time someone's tragic death was an inconvenience for him, either.
The tweet was obviously about Stephanie. Honestly, I don't know the circumstances and he could have legitimate reason to dislike her but this is unprofessional and immature.
As for Stephanie, I dunno what happened but it must have been serious. I don't think poor time keeping or sex tapes or drinking would warrant immediate dismissal. I remember thinking she was a little bit vulnerable a few years back as she was getting abused on twitter because of the Esther storyline. She didn't seem to be able to take it in her stride very well. She's young and, I think, a bit brash but I can't help feel a bit sorry for her. I do hate Sinead but Stephanie is a good actress so I'm sorry she didn't get a good exit. I think she is close friends with Kieron Richardson, isn't she? So she can't be that unlikeable.
