I'm not getting angry, just people like you judge for no reason, the show is decent at the moment, and more people are happy with the show than not, Twitter and Facebook are just like this forum and people will moan and complain just for the sake of being heard

What do you I mean Judge for no reason. I always watch it and I am finding it boring atm. TBH I think dtc is just as bad as kirkwood and Newman.

How can you compare dtc to Newman, it's a fact he's turned the show around no one in their right mind would think otherwise

I do take the rough with the smooth but when the show is ok and not "dire" like some say then it annoys me, when it's bad I'd be the 1st to say so but the show is far from crap

Like I said its had the odd decent episodes but it ain't been that great and Monday episode was just a embarrassing mess, it's looking good next week because it has the Mitchells, Beales an Brannings front and centre which we've not seen in a while.

I was not talking about what you find boring. I was talking about what I find boring.

Unfortunately I struggle to understand how some are finding the show 'dire'. I mean, imo, the stories we're getting at the min are far more interesting and much more Complex than some of the tripe we had before dtc's tenure....goon brothers, cold cuts, tanya and max affair, max's secret wife, the ridiculous kat affair just to name a few.

As for storylines not coming to a conclusion, let us all remember that soaps are supposed to be an exaggerated reflection of real life....thus in real life you wouldn't expect a murder like that of lucy beales to be forgotten about and dusted under the rug after 12 months....especially when the police still don't know who did it....a similar principal applies for lindas rape (although dean is one thing about the show I just cannot stand) and sharons search for her father (who I think we have all guessed will be gavin anyway). If these stories were speeded up, reached a conclusion and then subsequently forgotten about, fans would be up in arms about the show 'not being realistic'....eastenders just cannot win.

For me, as long as eastenders remains entertaining and the stories remain as complex as they would in real life (in my opinion, the show is achieving both right now) then I have no qualms with it and continue to enjoy it

The stacey/martin really is just awful

The only things ive enjoyed in recent weeks is the masoods side of roya, lady di finally appear and nancy and lee have each their own storyline and the cindy, carol, liam and tbe beales stuff”

Did you enjoy the Stacey and Jean stuff last week.

Last weeks episodes were really good and the Thursday and Friday's episodes the week before were really good and Tuesday's episode was really good. Next weeks episodes sound really good its a shame I can't watch Tuesday's and Thursday's episode live and the week after sounds good. Also this summer Kathy will be back soon and we have the episodes when Mick, Tina, Shirley and Babe scatter Stan's ashes and you never know we might find out Babe's secret then.

Things happen for a reason - including a thread that's bashing a soap for being sub standard in the extreme - this from a viewer of the show since the 80s....!

I think withEastenders the characters aren't consistent and i don't believe in them any more. There are loads of incomplete families and randoms. People leaving here and there.
E.g masoods need the mum back. It is not believable that she wouldn't ve there for Shabnam.
Ians relationship with cindy is boring. It was randomhow she came to live with them.
Bianca leaving. It was good when terry was in it with her and then they got rid of him.
Its like you invest in a character and then a few months later they've gone.
There are no gripping storylines. I remember syed and christian storyline was really good.
Need more stuff like that.”

This is precisely it, whether the good storylines such as the token examples given above are going to come flooding back in relation to the present goings on in the Square remains to be seen of course - and if they are then it looks like they're still a long way off from doing so at the moment!

I appreciate we have to have 'slow brew' periods of the show to allow for the more exciting/turbulent times to happen and to keep it realistic in soap terms - but as said by other posters, there are way too many 'open ended' storylines going on for now and that are on hold. The time scale is unrealistic for all that is going on for now. While we are pre-occupied with some dire storylines at the moment (Stacey/Kush/Shabnam triangle, Lee's weird inadequacy phase, Nancy and Tamwar's totally unrealistic romance, the Carol/Cindy/Beales extreme tedium storylines), then they have been in place of some of the more interesting storylines that were developing before then that have since totally disappeared off the radar! As others have said this next few weeks-months better be good!

Some good posts here to follow on my original posting yesterday I don't expect everyone to agree obviously and I get some posters bemoaning the sight of another negative ("EE bashing") thread but they are necessary from time to time to compare opinions and to stir up debate on here IMO.....plus you would hope that the producers would occasionally read them to gather viewers opinions on this site amongst others so improvements may be implemented over the course of time.

I'm enjoying Eastenders, at the moment. However, I have no interest in the Lucy storyline, but the episodes about it, are still good.

I look forward to Eastenders, alot, when I know that the Masoods are going to be in the episodes. I'm bit disappointed that, they probably won't be in it for the next 2 weeks.

I was enjoying the Lee storyline, so it's shame that its going to disappear for a while. I understand the need for block storylining, but it's annoying.

I kind of agree with the OP - Eastenders worryingly seem to be straying back into boring territories - when I saw Jean and glimpses of Cora most recently my eyes rolled back in their heads and I screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU KILLED THEM OFF ALREADY WHY ARE THEY BACK?!

What I am liking:
The Lucy storyline
The Dot in Jail storyline (keeps her away from the screens for a while as I am sick of her house, needs a remodelling)

What I am disliking:
Stacey/Kush (give Stacey something original, she is a good actress and they just throw her infidelity storylines and it's just boring now)
Lee's Meltdown (it's so boring - end it now & keep him as a fringe character, nobody cares)

What I'm waiting for:
The long-awaited incarceration of Dean for the rape of Linda

The only stuff I do not care for, are the Cindy storylines. The rest of the stuff I am happy/content with. I am not a fan of Kush and Stacey story though, but I can tolerate Stacey, unlike Cindy. Cindy is my least favourite character on the show right now, along with Dean the rapist. The way she give up her kid and wouldn't even let Jane/Ian care for Beth, really made me dislike her.

I was horrified to see Jean and Cora too. Awful characters.

Dean isn't going to jail, TPTB have stated that outright.

I haven't been watching as regularly recently as I have two small children, but I have caught up over the weekend. I'm enjoying most of the storylines at the moment tbh. We can't always have loads of intense storylines, it isn't realistic! The slow burn storylines remind me of what the show was like when it first begun (I've watched since episode 1!)
